Think it may have been something Len said. He commented that whenever he gets out of the shower and catches a glimpse of himself in the mirror he thinks he looks like Gleb. Later on when they did the rampant crab, Len said they could make it better by adding smoke like the red arrows do when they fly in formation
![]() Len was very, very funny. Proper on form. He had the audience in hysterics, he even put Jay's jive wig on and said he was going out on Canal St in it. You never seen that side to him on TV, I think it being in an arena and without the restrictions of the watershed he could let loose. Also from looking at Joanne's Twitter, I think she's pretty happy to be paired with Gleb. Can you blame her? Doesn't He look like Errol Flyn in those photos BTW? |

Vodka, thanks for the posts about the show. Interesting to hear about the banter in general. I'm glad that Gleb has been well received and his cheeky sense of humour coming to the fore; it's why I fell for him. Without the humour he's another pretty face. I hope that he wants to return next year as much as we want him to do so.
I think Joanne would make a good pro partner for him on SCD because she will help him with his ballroom and he help her with the latin. Hope that doesn't sound patronising to each. If I were Joanne I'd be very happy being paired with Gleb. |

Thanks, I always knew all three are great comedians. Even when Len criticized Gleb during the TV show I took it with a smile, as well as Gleb. I'm sure even the so-called criticism was scripted Any girl would be happy
Yes, there are some similarities. But Gleb's facial features are much more delicate, especially his lips. imho |

I'm getting a bit fed up of the Gleb (and Anita) bashing on another thread on the main forum. So what if she wins a lot of shows on the tour? So what if Helen, Georgia and Frankie are better "lyrical dancers"?! It's a bit of fun! Why can't some people see that Strictly is meant to be fun? If you want a serious ballroom competion go and watch one, not a Saturday night entertainment show!
I know who got the best reaction on Saturday night, we can't all be wrong can we? |

Fab to see Anita & Gleb getting such a great reception on tour. I'm going to the O2 a week on Saturday- can't wait to see that Paso & the "Gleb Special" live! 😀 |

I think it's an extreme degree of fanaticism, when people can't stand that someone else besides their idol attracts a considerable attention and have a success. Joy2286 Welcome to the thread! . We would really appreciate a report about the show. I'm sure you will spend great time.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A93nrCdVfmE The video stops at the most interesting place. I wish someone would record more, but you can hear Gleb's reception. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Jlx3z7h-tI0 Winners! |

I don't think Georgia was anywhere near as popular with the general public as she was on this forum. And certainly on the tour she's pretty forgettable, not helped by being on first,

I know who got the best reaction on Saturday night, we can't all be wrong can we? EDIT: Was it you or someone else who wrote that Anita's dances are show stoppers in a way that many of the others are not. In large environments this creates a real show experience. I wish she had made the final now even though I wanted Katie there. Might she have threatened Jay -? We can but wonder now. |

I'm fed up with it too and I'm not spending much time here at the moment! Can't people let it go and just be glad that Jay isn't dominating the tour ..?

I bet this happens far more than we are told. Do you know how many times Christopher Dean dropped Jayne Torvil? She even broke her shoulder one time and had to miss months of training. Just another stick to beat him with, hopefully he'll have his wife with him next series. But I can see the knives out for her already, guilty by association like Joanne is. |

I've been finding the Gleb/Anita grumbling amusing lately. Whether it's super fans disappointed when their favorite doesn't win the tour, or self-appointed dance authorities offended by Anita's winning over better dancers, all the moaning about big feet, bare chests and cheap spectacle is just so silly.

A part of me really hopes that Gleb gets a ringer next year to make up for him not getting to the final with Anita. But then I think he'd be lovely with a duffer as well, and it would probably shut the main forum up. |

You know what though, if you follow them both on social media you'll discover that Jay and Anita became quite close during Strictly. I can't imagine he minds her (and Gleb) winning in the slightest, one thing I remember from when I saw the show last week is Gleb giving Jay a massive hug when it was announced he was the winner. From recollection he was the only pro, other than Aliona obviously, to do that.

The likes of Denise Van Outen and Natalie Gumede are my idea of hell quite honestly. I didn't enjoy watching either.
I think someome like Chelsee Healey, who was a naturally good dancer but sweet and funny and likeable with it would be perfect. I loved her partnership with Pasha, it's one of my all time favourites on Strictly. I think Kevin will get the duffer this year. He's long overdue it. |

If both get duffers and go early that will be my SCD ruined next year!

Of the two I much prefer Natalie Gumede and watch a few of her dances back time and again. The problem for both women was, in part, who they were paired with. Chelsee was a good dancer but I didn't feel the appeal, sorry. I'd like Gleb to get a Pixie Lott or Alesha Dixon.

But in the interest of fairness he's long overdue a crap partner. I think he could get Michelle Keegan if she finally agrees to do it. No idea if she can dance or not, but shes now a BBC employee and a huge star. They've wanted her for a while. I think Georgia was her replacement, because they couldnt get her this time. |

Gotta have one of my fav male pros to watch.

Michelle was heavily rumoured for the most recent series. She is married to Mark Wright, and Kevin and Karen choregraphed the first dance at their wedding. So there is that Strictly connection there. I thought it was odd that she was being rumoured as part of the line up, and then Georgia was announced. Another pretty young Coronaton St actress, but nowhere near as big a star as Michelle is. Not to be disparaging to Georigia because she did well, but I think she was only asked to take part because they couldnt get Michelle.

Oh no! Don't want her on the programme much less near Gleb or Kevin. I could not abide Mark Wright and as she's picked him for her husband ... well, less said.

There's a photo on Twitter somewhere (can't find it right now) of Mark and Gleb together. It's a good photo of Mark but Gleb outshines him.

I think Gleb is a lot nicer than people want to believe although he and Elena are reputed to be Putin supporters ... I don't mind who Gleb gets next year provided we see a fair bit of him. So if he gets a duffer then I hope she's popular as was Carol Kirkwood so that he has a good run. If he gets a ringer then may she be amazingly lithe and a nice person. I couldn't bear to watch him with someone like Denise van Outen.
As far as Putin goes, I think that was just one line in a tabloid article? He did say all the right things to Attitude regarding gay rights in Russia. |
