However, with real people on reality TV when the show ends then beyond a few catch ups so does my interest. I certainly wouldn't follow them on social media, or analyse their every move or interaction. You can't really anyway because what you see in the media and on social media is a highly edited version of what they want you to see and that applies to everyone, Gleb included.

Sorry for trimming your post a bit ... just wanted to say I agree with your measured assessment. I'm not inclined to be judgemental of shippers; I could just as well be judged for spending time on DS thinking too much about SCD and appreciating Gleb. I do think it's a fascinating phenomenon, and it's interesting to see how slebs manage their images via social media and how readily some accept those managed images as truth.

To get back to appreciating, I love the official DWTS pictures of Gleb (https://www.instagram.com/p/BKe9mKdB...chenkoofficial).

Hope they have a great tango tonight that contains some tango!

re-BIB, yes I know

Re-that photo, it's a bit too hygienic and Gleb's eyes look small. I like sweaty Gleb, with a bit of bum fluff and a smirk.

At second glance, you're right about his face. I think I was focusing on the neck down part

Here is Jana and Gleb's tango:

I think it looks great (even as a tango! I think Len might have given them an 8!) but what was he thinking with that outfit? No, Gleb, no! No more stone-washed pleather Village People costumes!

Thanks for the video chou. I think Jana looked uncomfortable in hold but this might be related to her back injury. She can dance a bit - will be interesting to see how she fares in the latin dances - and she's supple. I don't like it as a tango but realise I'll have to put my SCD ideas about the dances aside! I quite liked Gleb's trousers ...

Re-the photo. He looks great in the black shirt I agree. But I like his face and the photo didn't compliment his beauty.

I thought the music didn't really suit a tango, a bit too fast maybe? it's hard to get the drama of the tango if the music doesn't really suit it. I agree that Gleb's costume didn't do much for him.

The music was awful. It looked like they were dancing to something else and the 'One Tree Hill' tune had been dubbed over it. You get a better feel for the dance if you turn the sound off.

I agree too about Gleb's outfit. That baggy waist-jacket monstrosity (it makes him look paunchy) needs to be sent back to the 80's pronto!

I thought Jana looked great, though. She's certainly got a cracking pair of pins!

On another note, I want to wish the other half of Team Glita all the best for her new strictly tour hosting job. I'm hoping (in vain, I know) there might be room for a sexy fun-loving russian speaking co-host! I'm sure Anita wouldn't mind a reunion

Thanks for the link choucroute. It was a pretty good dance and Jana did well considering her injury problems. The music was interesting and the styling was well...it's DWTS, what can you say? It's brave, brash and sometimes it's great and also good to have those qualities. I think part of the reason I liked Gleb in Strictly is that he was just so different and went against established norms. The way they push the boundaries on that show is quite awe inspiring and although I don't always think that it works, I've got to admire thier sheer ambition. and the scale of it all. That said this particular look wasn't his best.
TV themes is a kind of strange choice for a theme week. At first I couldn't imagine Strictly doing it, but then they've done movies week and TV is easily as popular as films so who knows? It may work.
Weirdly my last couple of posts mentioned liking Maksim Chmerkovskiy dressed as Mowgli from the Jungle Book and on a later post I mentioned my liking of Khal Drogo. Imagine my surprise when this week up pops Maksim dressed as Khal Drogo! Most odd. So, I've now decided that I'm either definately psychic or DWTS reads this thread (unlikely).

Whichever it is, I'm happily imagining costumes I'd like Gleb to wear in the hope they'll get on screen.

Although I'm still rather fond of his samba/salsa standard gear (I love the white trousers) and the Paso look will take some beating. Anyway whatever he wears it's really really tough to make Gleb not look good.

Slightly OT but I'm pleased Anita is doing the presenting on the tour- I think that she filled in last year didn't she? Anyway I think she'll be great.

Hiya all

I agree....that outfit is so wrong and dated.Who chooses them.......can't be Gleb.....or can it.......???

Also wish Anita all the best.Really miss GLITA I can tell you Every time I see Anita on TV ....I am looking for Gleb....:

And glad that Gleb is doing well on DWTS and really glad that somehow we can see him albeit after the event but nice anyway .Makes me smile when I see silly stuff like....." if only Gleb wasn't married " or "shame Gleb is married " and that he and Jana make a good couple.Honestly I feel that he is really just getting on with it .Don't see any interaction suggesting otherwise. In fact I see him keeping a distance more than anything after the dance is over. Nothing like how he and Anita would hug and remember he would kiss the top of her head, hold hands and basically laugh because they were friends.

I think his time on SCD has helped him on DWTS and I think on SCD he really wanted to make a mark and he did because Anita was so bubbly and co-operative.What a dance couple....team GLITA .

And listen......if he wasn't married......lol....I wouldn't want him pairing up with Jana or anybody else like those fans suggest......I would hope to take a chance myself !!

But have to say that his wife is beautiful no doubt about it .Lovely family.

BiB: Feel free to share here ... I've already admitted to a uniform fantasy. Or better, tweet his wife--increasingly I have the feeling she's responsible for the marketing of Gleb--maybe she'd take your suggestions on board for DWTS or the show in London this December.

I do hope they'll be able to fill two shows for him and Kristina--she's comes in for so much criticism, as has Gleb and now his move to DWTS on top of it.

I'm also pleased that Anita is presenting the tour. Mel was great, but if she's not available, Anita will be great too.

I've now watched this week's results show for DWTS and have the feeling they're mistreating the Glebster a bit .... On SCD the fawning over his looks was tiresome, but it was all in good fun. On DWTS the host introduced him as an underwear model on the first show, and on this week's results show they showed a clip of him modelling underwear. It's all done in a silly and prudish and slightly mean-spirited way, as if it's unseemly for a man to model underwear. (This on a show where many of the female pros have begun to wear underwear as their standard costumes.) I suspect he'd have been treated much more nicely had he stuck with SCD.

Elena seems to be the brains behind this one off show. She is very shrewd I think, and knows what people want. Hence the 'audience partcipation' Im surprised she's using Kristina and not doing it herself though.

I would go to see Gleb and Kristina but it's too far and I would struggle to get back in time for work on Monday. A tour would be nice. Do you think they are just testing the water? Kristina has has some bad publicity but she also has a lot of fans while Elena is quite unknown over here. The description of the show seems to match the one in Australia in October and the one in Russia last February. I think this is the show that she said they want to do a world tour with. It must be quite an expensive show to stage for just two performances.
The concept for the DWTS show next week is unusual. I think two couples compete against each other by dancing the same dance. The couple with the highest score is safe and the other couple have to rely on public votes or be eliminated. Not sure who Gleb and Jana will be up against.

Hi guys!

Hope you're all well- it's been a while! Haven't been in here much but been reading intermittently and of course keeping up with all the Gleb news via his Twitter!

Was rather gutted to hear he wasn't coming back to Strictly but in some ways I was relieved because I enjoyed his and Anita's partnership so much that I'm not sure anyone else would have quite had that magic they seemed to have. Am very grateful that YouTube exists so we can still catch his DWTS routines!

Have just booked tickets for his West End show in December- the chance to see him in the flesh again was too much to pass up! I also am a big fan of Louise Dearman who is one of the singers so it should be a great day out. Will try and report back afterwards!

Hello lovelies

I seemed to a have flounced without realising it! Haven't had the heart to watch SCD this series, just can't be arsed with it without Gleb

Am I missing much? Who are you all supporting this year?

It's a much stronger line up, celebrity wise this year with several contendeds rather than a runway one like last time.

At present my favourite is Judge Rinder, simply because I wasn't expecting him to be that good. But it could all change.

I didn't watch on Friday but saw some of the show on Saturday. The judges were being very nice to all the contestants. Craig gave some 8s! I thought Dani and Oti were very good in their cha cha cha.
I don't feel the same enthusiasm for it and won't be voting this year. Last year's show just came alive for me, Gleb and Anita were such a great couple.

Hi all....

How are you everybody ? Hope all is good in your world.
I agree Amy.....just difficult to get into SCD and miss Gleb and Anita so much.I was having my tea when I noticed ITT was on and it gave me a strange feeling .It was all so exciting for me last year and I always enjoyed Gleb/Anita's ITT. They were magical . Saw a bit of SCD on catch up right afterwards and it seemed flat so will not be watching.

On paper you can line up these names or assume somebody will go down a storm aka Gorka in lieu of Gleb but Gorka is hardly Gleb and not fair to place him in this position. He is teamed with the wrong lady, lovely though she is .

@Joy...please make sure to write up your report of Gleb's show .Looking forward to that but I will be away in Madrid !!!!

Here is another pic of Gleb with his cutie .W hat has she on her top teeth.....???

Apparently Gleb/Jana are in a dance off tonight as are all the rest. Can anybody throw some light of why they do that so early in the competition or why they do it at all ?

I haven't the show yet, mostly due to being so busy this part weekend but also I think a little bit because I feel the same as you. I mean if Gleb were there I know I'd have caught up with it by now, but as it stands I really can't be arsed to sit through 2-3 hours of TV either. I may change my mind though, we'll see.

Also, I see Gleb has got himself in some rather hot water re some comments. It's here in The Daily Star. Bearing in mind the source it's probably a load of old BS. The Star may not be the original source anyway, those comments sound a little too off the cuff and more like a speaking than a print interview to me.

Some people are calling him well ungallant would be a polite way of putting it, but I don't see anything wrong with what he's said. He finds Jannette [prettier than Daisy? Fair enough, it's all a matter of taste and preference and Giovanni may romance another partner- mostly by Glebs reckoning because he's a '26 year old Italian'. Well he may.

I loved Giovannis and Georgia on last years show, they were great together, but what happened privately and all the current tabloid gossip doesn't really interest me. Although I do think that he would be best to restrain from any romance TBH as, although she didn't deserve any of the criticism, it didn't do Kristina any favours with the judgmental public in what is essentially at heart a popularity contest.

Anyway, that's Gleb he never did play the Strictly 'happy clappy' publicity game terribly well, often seeming bemused by it and without Anitas gabbling to interrupt he's clearly off the lease and just said and did exactly what he thought. The Blackpool interview where everyone was gushing about how wonderful the place was and Glebs attitude was like he was thinking 'eh it's underwhelming-but I'll say something' so he said 'it's old' springs to mind. Another reason why I liked him

And didn't he also manage to be sniffy about the famously bouncy Blackpool floor? Was that Gleb or Gio? I can't remember. Someone who hadn't read the Bouncy=Astonishingly Good script

Hello lovely cavalli

In answer to your Qs: Yes, but there's no Gleb. I'm supporting Robert 'Judge' Rinder, Ed Balls, Daisy Lowe and Louise Reknapp. There's a few others I like and might lend some support to as the series progresses.

Me too. Those comments quoted in TDS are rubbish! Gleb would not just start rambling in that fashion. As you wrote he was no doubt speaking to someone rather than being interviewed.

Yep, Tristan and Aliona also didn't do the whole 'happy clappy' thing either. I think if you have a slightly cynical and sarcastic sense of humour you'll never really fit in. The script for the pros appears to be, smile, look pretty, and gush about the show. I'm amazed Brendan is still there for that reason actually, as he has never followed the script.

The powers that be will love the fact that Gorka can't speak English very well. Less likely to put his foot in his mouth

Here's a tweet with Jena and Gleb's 31 second jive ...

Not as good as her previous efforts, which surprises me. Does anyone know when voting finishes? Hoping they continue on DWTS a bit longer.
