Hi all

Whenever Gleb is featured in the press he always posts a link on his twitter or facebook and so far I don't see anything regarding his "comments" about Giovanni and Laura or Daisy/Alijaz so not really convinced he said it that way or at all. Most people didn't think the G/G thing would last .Gio is single so no big deal there and I think he is matey with Gleb .Alijaz and Janette are very matey with Gleb and Elena as well so he could have been asked about that and he stuck up for Janette.The rest seems added on to me because if nothing else I always thought that Gleb was shy is so many ways.He never really commented on people so why would he start now ??

I think he picked up a lot about projecting himself from Anita although with her.....she did the job for him!!!!! She would chat away for England where he could hardly get a word out !

Good god, just watched that jive. How dreadful has DWTS become? It used to be pretty much identical to Strictly, but they are not even using the dance floor anymore! Len would have a fit if a couple did that on Strictly. Those costumes are also terrible.

A dance lasting 31 seconds is ridiculous. I know they have commercial breaks to include, but come on!

Hello popping in from the Gio & Laura thread (do love a bit of Gleb too, who doesn't?!?) the social media stuff is telling him not linking to it. Someone, producers of strictly, glebs show AND Georgia's play , magazines etc , are getting a lot of mileage out of this 'situation', the old no such thing as bad publicity etc. Gleb not linking to it suggests it's less of an 'interview' more of a 'he might have said something vaguely like this at some point and someone needed to fill space in a magazine'

Was pleased to see the Gleb special in the jive with Jana. Last seen in the samba to "Hips don't lie" with Anita. I just watched that again and I still love it. The jive last night did look quite simple maybe because Jana is injured and Gleb is trying to avoid difficult/painful moves. I think Jana has a lot of fans and so should be safe for a while. Don't understand the DWTS voting as they only got one more point than Ryan Lochte who looked quite wooden to me. I thought Gleb said last year that he would never wear pink!

Like others here, I also like Rob/Judge Rinder and Oksana. He's funny and throwing himself into the dancing, and she has a bit of that Gleb glamour. It's nice that there are so many relatively good dancers and that, unlike last year, it probably won't be clear who's going to win in week 3 already.

They had to shorten the show to one hour (or 40 minutes with the commercial breaks) because of the Clinton/Trump debate. They came up with a format in which all the couples were matched up with another couple and then each couple danced the same style back to back, were both scored, and the couple in each match-up with the highest score won immunity. Gleb and Jana had one more point than their match-up couple, so they're automatically safe and through to next week. One of the couples who didn't win immunity last night will be eliminated tonight. As complicated as it is, I just watched it and it was actually a good format (forced one to really focus on each dance style and comparing was easy) and the judges just scored without making any comments, which was refreshing.

Jana didn't dance the jive very well at all, but I'm not sure how she could do very well when she's had a rib injury and she's still doing a concert tour. Maybe still worth a watch to see Gleb in white trousers: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=By1oKKYDS-Y

I wonder where the comments originated .... whether it was really a proper interview or whether someone threw a few questions at him at a DWTS event. I wouldn't be surprised if he really had said it all. I've often worked with Russians, and .... warning, cultural stereotype ahead .... they can be quite blunt. Also, he's out of the Strictly bubble now so maybe even more candid. And I think his reading of the GG situation is just as plausible as the starry-eyed romantic reading of it.

You know what's bad about the 31 second jive - not enough Gleb! There he is leaping about the floor and I get a measly few seconds and then <poof>, he's gone!

Gleb is blunt. In his Playboy interview, on YT and posted by me as a link somewhere in the thread, he referred to pros and celebs f***ing one another as a commonplace. That's blunt! But this is why I (we) like him. He offers point-of-fact comment with a silken voice and razor cheekbones.

Oh i like him even more now! I love a bit of bluntness, you need it cut through the luvvy mwah dahling crap sometimes!

Just before that bit (the 3rd this series) with the underwear pics, Gleb had a glorious, extended moment of camera hogging. While the presenter was trying to have a chat with Jana, Gleb was doing the robot and smiling at the camera the whole time to such an extent that the normally unflappable Tom B. was completely flustered and whatever Jana said was lost.

chou - do you have a clip of Gleb doing the robot? One has to admire his determination to make it on DWTS, which is how I interpret what's going on with him there. They keep trying to sideline him into 'underwear model' and he smiles, laughs, bounces back and looks to eye f*** the camera and with it seduce the audience on TV. Go Gleb, go! Just make sure you come back to the UK once in a while and don't forget us Glebsterites

For some reason it's only a small screen within the bigger youtube screen, which makes it very hard to get the full effect of the roboting/camera hogging. (I watch DWTS via various streaming sites, but don't dare link to that here.)

That's one of the stupidest articles I have ever read. I think they either just made it all up for selling newspapers or something - or they confused Gleb by asking him a lot of questions on the phone I guess - and mangled his words into that slop.

Anyway - as for Olivia's teeth, I think she's the age when kids lose their baby teeth (5 or 6).

DWTS week 4 and Gleb and Jana are doing the foxtrot. It's also a cirque de soleil week and I'm not sure how those two things fit together. It's certainly a very different show from SCD.

I just dunno about this year yet, I'm really still not that bothered about whether I watch or not. I really didn't think that the absence of Gleb would make a such a difference to me, but somehow it does.

I mean there were quite a few I enjoyed last year and I know that it takes time to to get to know all the contestants but somehow my hearts not in it. I won't lie-I think that it's also the lack of eye candy

Anyway, I've just watched Gleb and Anitas samba again. It's always a 'good cheer me' up thing for me.

Decided to take a peep on catchup ... all it did was remind me how lovely it was last year what with Gleb and his beauty and Anita chatting like no tomorrow. Just couldn't get into it. I like Gorka the corka but really to team him up with Tameka lovely though she is I normally think Naga looks boring but didn't she look stunning with long hair ?? Pasha looks a nice gentle soul and I didn't see him too much last year. Don't believe for a minute that he and Naga had a tiff.......looking as if they are rushing to get somewhere and the effort is translated as "tiff" by the media. Laura looks good and something may be going on we don't know and to be honest I do not care .However like I say....just not spark at all .

I know you didn't ask me Maggie but...Gorka is sweet and kinda cute, if a little young and I don't know if it's just me, but he also has a look of 'young Anton' about him.

Not saying that that's a bad thing, I like Anton as it happens, but he's no Gleb mark2, for me anyway.

Don't talk to me about the perfectly dancing ken doll manikin that is Danny whassisname either.Sorry, but he's one of those men who has all the right bits in all the right places but whose appeal passes me by too.

Oooh yes, Pretzel. I can see Danny really grating on me. Of course he's goung to be good, he's danced professionally on the West End stage! He is the male DVO in that respect. I'm glad Oti has a decent partner, but I'm afraid I can't warm to. Danny.

I'm not partial to Oti. She seems to me to be a male Kevin according to the forum definitions of Kevin and I'm unimpressed by her.
