Here's Gleb and Jana's contemporary:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FWfpM6g-MkM
The wafting starts at about 2:05 (if you want to avoid hearing about the domestic violence woes and baby joys). I don't care for DWTS contemporary, but Gleb looks good

They got their best scores yet, but still in a poor running position and the faves got higher scores. They might be out next week (there was no elimination this week.)

It just wasn't her dance- I think that she was injured and TBF Gorka danced around her beautifully but with the air of a man trying to move a slightly awkward parcel.

I'm still not watching with any great enthusiasm, like you say the Grrrr factor is missing. Although I did have very slight stirrings during the Dannybots Paso. I suspect that's because his face was covered. It's not an unpleasant or unattractive face but it just doesn't do it for me.

Hhaha at the truncheon bit. I watched that again the other night and virtually all day at work I was singing 'He had it coming' the next day. Gawd I miss Anita and Gleb, although Lesly and Ed make me smile I don't really love any of the celebs this year and with no male dancers to admire it's really slim pickings,”

BIB 1: In all fairness, Gorka is a handsome version of Rob Brydon.

BIB 2: I was hoping for some stirrings--I love paso/Spanish/flamenco kitsch--even recently watched for the first time the Mask of Zorro just for that reason (and Antonio Banderas) but .... nothing. I think it's that he's not very tall and also not very expressive in his dancing, despite his obvious skill.

BIB 3: It wasn't the truncheon for me, it was him slinking out from the side like a panther and then Anita unbuttoning his "shirt" from behind. Those were the days ....

Just a heads up for those of you who are following Gleb on dwts, he and Jana are dancing an AT this week. I think it should be dance goodness and perhaps a breakout week for her.

Jana Kramer & Gleb Savchenko – Argentine Tango – “Hands to Myself” by Selena Gomez

Also no one has mentioned but Gleb was in the opening pro dance doing a beautiful VW in tails for those who have not watched it.

Hello Vodka and cavalli. Sorry for my absence. IT issues that affected my DS account. I've a temporary fix from the nice DS forum support people.

I've been reading everything so have (mostly) kept up-to-date. Loved the discussion of Gleb dreams. I'm jealous as I've never had one!

Have either of you seen the interview that Gleb linked to on Twitter that goes under the banner -I'd never have sex in a dressing room - ? Naughty Gleb.

I would just like to thank Gleb on behalf of women everywhere for his most recent DWTS routine in which he got very wet

I loved their Argentine Tango. I also loved the joy on his face when they go all 10s. In SCD last year they only got one 10 from Darcy. The water theme was one he used with Adelina in the Russian DWTS. When they get to do Paso do you think he will have the red curtains and elements of the dance he did with Anita?
I'm happy for him that the show is going well.

So there I was , just innocently looking up some Halloween and other dances on youtube to randomly post in the forum and in amongst the GOT and other stuff this came up in my 'recommended next' section.

Heres Gleb and Janas AT

I don't know whether to be impressed or worried that Youtube knows me so scarily well.

Lol yes, I think it's an aquired taste. I can only imagine the reaction of Len if someone ever tried anything similar on Strictly

I love it. Thanks for the link. I don't watch DWTS. Jana can dance, that's was very good, I am not sure it had all AT steps to warrant 10s, but for pure entertainment value
worth 10s. I am surprised Bruno didn't jump in the shower with them.

Could someone post the link in MF, I think everyone should see it. Typical Gleb.

Just catching up with things and I like this contemporary dance very much. Jana is a good dancer! Very emotional routine and ending. I like that Gleb made it about her.

I must take you to task over comparing Gorka to Rob Brydon <vomits>

I would like to know how you rehearse with a shower ... There were some repeats in this AT with Anita's - similar steps and moves. Jana doesn't suffer with sickle feet, unlike poor Anita.

I miss Gleb I admit.

He wasn't the only thing to get wet, good grief!

So, so sorry

Emma said that they didn't have the shower in the dress rehearsal as it would take too long to set up and clean up. Thankfully nothing went wrong on the night. It was different and I love that about Gleb's choreography. Expect the unexpected.
I also miss him from SCD. Sigh!

I knew posters on the MF would hate the AT! I do however agree with the person who said Gleb is very cunning. He is. He knows exactly what people want from him and plays up to it. So does Elena, I wouldn't be at all surprised if she helped with choregraphy for that. She seems to be the brains behind a lot of things he does.

As much as I miss him from Strictly, I think DWTS is probablg a much better fit for him in that he can do as he likes pretty much without the restrictions we have over here. I wonder though, with Len leaving Strictly will we start to go to down the DWTS road a bit more? Bruno and Craig in particular seem to love raunchier routines. I think Craig would have appreciated that

TMI! TMI! TMI! You need the shower

Apparently the AT has been judged the hottest in DWTS history It wasn't much of an AT to be frank but hey, it's wet Gleb. I prefer sweaty rather than wet though.

I knew that the main forum wouldn't like it. They're right, in a way. Gleb is way too OTT and flashy for Strictly and yes, it can get a bit annoying on DWTS. I've already said how much I hate Disney week with all the inane extras and faffing. They could take a gold medal in faff in that show.

But somehow I excuse it in Gleb..and anyway he did tone it down a bit on Strictly. It was only broight out on special occasions like Blackpool, and if you can't go OTT in Blackpool....

I don't know if it's been posted in this thread but the ermmm... wet aspect was based on Glebs performance in the Russian show.

So if you think DWTS's shower is too much check out this glorious shipwreck which includes not only water but a galleon .

I remember someone posting the shipwreck last year. Very extravagant

I bloody loved Shipwrecked Gleb, in fact all his dances on the Ruski show appealed to me - I mostly hate ballroom and Latin, there I said it

The dahncers dahling downstairs falling over themselves to be their usual condescending selves, I have to sit on my fingers at times *rolleyes*

That sounded wrong, didn't mean to for once!

Mattel need to step up, they could make a Gleb for every occasion - like Action Man but with prettier hair and a fully functioning undercarriage

I think you have enough Gleb lust for the entire appreciation thread!

The shower AT wasn't my thing either, even though I have nothing against wet, sexy Gleb. In the context of the whole show it also felt very produced--we know Gleb goes for over-the-top, but I think the producers were behind this number and the perfect score. Much as the Strictly producers were pushing the Jay jive comparisons this week, the DTWS producers were pushing "the sexiest AT ever" (which was quite tame compared to the delicious raunch of Gleb's Chicago AT with Anita).

In my defense, I was defending him ... someone else made the original comparision.
In any case, I'll be very glad to see him back this week dancing with Anastacia.

Just watched an interview with Gleb and Jana talking about their perfect score for their AT. Gleb says it is his first perfect score ever but I am sure that he got a number of perfect scores on Russian DWTS with Adelina. Maybe he is trying to present Jana as his best partner ever.

Here's the full Gleb and Jana segment on Monday's DWTS, complete with Len having a go at him for the choreography. Happily Gleb didn't say anything until asked. Not a great samba, but I appreciate Gleb's look (though I don't normally like long hair on men, Gleb's excellent bone structure is on fine display here):
