Strange group dance. Very different and I'm not sure if I liked it or not but glad to see Gleb with Derek and Maks nonetheless.

Hi, Maggie. I too loved his prince look. I really felt the absence of Gleb and Anita tonight--last year's Halloween show was so much better, due, in part, to that Maleficient waltz.

Jaclyn Smith was gorgeous. I fell out with classmates over who should play Kelly (Jaclyn). Should have been me of course!

Last year's waltz was on my mind too, that was the dance that made me a confirmed GLITA fan. Sadly nothing came close to it this week.

In total agreement with all your comments about the Gleb and Anita waltz for halloween. This year was a kind of let down and some of the face painting was quite sinister.

Regarding that fabulous Halloween waltz, remember towards the end of the routine when under Anita's (Malificent's) spell, Gleb fell forward and then was pulled back upright again by Anita's powers (talk about Gleb leg muscle strength ). Didn't Danny and Oti try that very same move last night, only Danny's legs were too short and didn't have quite the same effect?

Hey up folks. We all miss Gleb for various reasons and his partnership with Anita but there's no need to diss others as a consequence.

Danny and Anton ( in the James Brown) tribute did the fall to puling up move. Whether or not they were as good is sort of irrelevant because Gleb put into a routine on SCD first ... at least in the time I've been watching. What matterr is how that move fitted so well with Gleb's mournful, gothic waltz for Anita.

Maggie, you weren't too kind to Danny yourself in this post, were you?

I didn't particularly care for what Strictly served us up this year. The usual camp aspect of this time of years show wasn't quite camp enough and there wan't anything as beautiful and haunting as Gleb and Anita's waltz last year. I think that Oti was possibly inspired by their routine, and yeas it was quite good, but I think I liked the music more than anything. It was alright.

To me The Halloween dances should be either fun or beautiful and haunting, most this year were neither- just all a bit meh...A good Halloween show also leaves the music in your head for days to come, this one didn't.

Anyway, as they missed The Monster Mash this year, this effort by Patsy and Robin is one of my favourite camp routines. and of course, who could forget this lyrical, beautiful dance by Gleb and Anita? I love it.

Gleb has hurt his knee and has had to miss training for DWTS. If he doesn't recover by Monday Jana will be dancing with another pro

I don't know about anyone else, but I remember being very concerned about his knees during his infamous paso with Anita. My knees would never be able to take thaf kind of strain

I watched their charleston from Monday's show (I think that's when it airs) and it was good, if a bit frantic. Gleb has no doubt been pulling out al the stops to reach the final. I think he and Jana are final 6 now.

He has one of those medical supports braces on his knees. Looks quite nasty.

The prevailing opinion now seems to be that the DWTS producers are doing their best to get Jana into the final so as to solidify Gleb's standing as a pro in the US.

Thank you for posting the DWTS clips, choucroute. I'm appreciating them immensely, I actually gasped when he took his shirt off Glad to hear that the producers are pushing them to the fore, bet he's loving it!

Not sure what to think of that small person dancing, it just looks wrong but I suppose that's why they've included her - to challenge opinions. It smacks of circus freakery to me but what do I know.

I know what you mean cavalli about freak show but why should she not compete in a dance competition as any other person? I think it raises all sorts of difficult
questions. As to taking his shirt off ... I preferred it on! Think he looks handsome in that blue colour.

I agree that the knee brace looks nasty. He is also practising with Kristina for the London show so maybe just over doing it. Hopefully he will recover quickly.
I liked the jazz dance and would love to see them make it to the final. Len is not going to be on the judging panel until the final so that could be an advantage for Gleb and Jana.

I don't know if anyone else saw. But Elena uploaded a photo of Gleb'a mum with Olivia to her Instgram account, she looks staggeringly young. Can't have been very old when she had him, but still very pretty and has the same eyes as Gleb.

Her name is Regina.

Yes it is a lovely picture and Olivia has the same birthday as her grandma which is sweet. Gleb seems to be dancing tonight so fingers crossed they make it through to next week. There are only a few weeks left of DWTS and then he will be heading for London for the show. You lucky people who are able to make it.

I would love Gleb to make the finals with Jana. They are starting to pick up very positive comments on the Afterbuzz show so I hope they get enough votes.

Gleb has indeed made the finals with Jana. Seems to me with a lot of help from the producers (DWTS is storyboarded to a much larger extent than Strictly), but that bodes well for his future there.

I didn't think Gleb was very bad and I didn't think Alan was very handsome ... not like Gleb! Dramatic paso dance. Loved the staging but would have preferred it to be just Gleb and Jana. As to the QS, dreadful music that Gleb did well with to choreograph a QS. Gleb seemed to stumble twice in the routine; after he leapt over Jana and then at the very end. Hope his knee is ok. Yay to them making the final. I'm so glad the producers are investing in him as it's what he and Elena want even if I would like him back on SCD
