Is it just me or does this series of Celebrity Big Brother not have any sponsor before or after ad breaks? I find it kinda of surprising, unless i missed it!

I didn't realise this whilst watching but now that you have pointed it out, I think you're right!

I wonder what happened to Lucozade?

Or Dreams? I am sure that was one a few series ago. Seems strange that they weren't able to get one, unless they are still trying at this point!

not enough viewers these days to justify the cost. the line up arent the type thar many advertisers want promoting their.products.

That's definitely a worrying sign of the times if the show hasn't been able to secure a sponsor.

The last few January ones have rated over 3 million and cbb is channel 5s highest rated programme, bit strange there is no sponsor

That's what i thought. I know Channel 5 were bought by a massive US company, so maybe they don't care and have money to burn?

Viacom have HUGE amounts of money, they probably don't even need a sponsor any more

Reputable companies don't want to be tarnished by this brush.

I keep seeing that American Express ad, so maybe it is them this year

If they had Dreams a few years a go, i am sure there are sponsors that want to advertise before the show. It's good business, there are always headlines when the shows returns and it get's decent viewing figures.

Commercial television companies don't turn down easy money.

It's their biggest show so is a bit oddMaybe brands don't want to be associated with it. Even the australian soaps have sponsers.

I was a superfan of Big Brother, the last year I have avoided it. It has become so bad and cheesy. The whole point of BBUK now is for producers to try and create as many arguments and fights as possible. They need to look at BB USA or BB Canada, they are doing a fantastic job!

With the advent of real medicine it disappeared, I enjoyed crumbling the orange plastic covering.

that takes.me back. when I was a kid you got a glass of lucazade every day when ill. it. came from the drug store accross from our street well it was the local mace shop really but the owner was a US marine who forgot to go home after the war. I think there was a soda fountain as well or maybe I just imagined that it was a long time ago.

Ahh Lucozade, they let soldiers in that house, that's why they sponsored.

On TV3 in Ireland it's being sponsored by boohoo.com

I have a feeling that it's probably rating quite well for TV3 over here. In terms of awareness of the show and people my age (early 20s) on Facebook talking about it, Ive noticed a big upswing in people talking about it since the summer series.

At first I thought that was the worst ever sponsor, but by the end I absolutely loved her! She became addictive to watch

Odd.

But right now C5 is the richest they have ever been so there's no worrying signs.

As another poster said, its sponsored boohoo here in Ireland.
However I'm wondering whether they are sponsoring "Big Brother" or "TV3", if you know what I mean.

Maybe they make enough with all the product placement they have? Eg L'Oréal
