I don't think anyone involved in this affair is coming across well. However, Ben and Kristina have said his marriage was over before they got together. Is there evidence this is not the case? Also, had Ben told his wife about the pregnancy beforehand, there is the risk she would have blabbered before the couple were ready to publicly announce it.
I wish at least one of the adults involved in this would think of the children. |

He's not divorced so it's a bit tasteless announcing it publicly before telling his wife and daughters privately. Ben is some piece of work. I'm sure Kristina will have her mother staying with them. I don't think there are many 38 year olds that get "pregnant" accidentally

Given the amount of bleating the ex or relatives have done in order to wound the reputations of Ben or partner-encouraged by the press looking to perpetuate a narrative of course- I can say it is almost certain that ex would have used that information to wound them further. Nothing in this strikes me as at all classy. K thinking it was an apt moment to settle down and miss Strictly out, and cash in by going into a reality program in the meantime without telling the program before signing the contract. Stealing her dancing partners, the cosmetic fillers, CBB... :-/ Well, at least she's still got her looks.

They aren't divorced. Fact. Okay, they're not divorced yet.Quote:
Your guess is entirely wrong.
His wife, not 'ex-wife', clearly did not know about the pregnancy until the TV announcement, and your reading of the situation, besides its factual inaccuracy, seems to be based on nothing more than wishful thinking. But that's the only fact you can prove I got wrong. Abbey is not saying she didn't know. Even the DM isn't saying that. I think there's some wishful thinking going on, but it's not by me. |

A cynical person might think "they would say that, wouldn't they" in respect of B & K claiming that their relationship started after the Cohens had separated. In any event, Abby has publicly stated that her husband left her "for a Russian dancer" so it's a question of who do you want to believe.

Kristina said that she requested Daniel particularly so that people wouldn't start spreading rumours. They got on very well together.

Completely agree. I don't care about any of the adults -- they're all turning a bad situation into a horrendously nasty wreckage -- but I do feel very sorry for the kids, who should be protected from this mess.

They could be for all we know. They could be confused by Daddy no longer living with Mummy but could quickly adjust to a new glamorous second Mummy. Depends how the situation is handled.
How shallow is that! ![]() And how dismissive of the feelings of children when their responsible adults decide to shatter their family. Just unbelievable. |

Which he denied on his Twitter account as Ms. McLean living in a fantasy world. If you don't mind me saying, for someone who abhors celebrity gossip, you do trade in it.

But it was reported in the Mail - which must make it as true as much of the reporting about Kristina and Ben? Unless believing or not what is in the papers and believing or not the denials of the people involved is really just a smorgasbord where folk and pick and mix according to their own perceptions?
Like all the 'stories' and 'sources' you need to draw you own conclusions as there is his story, her story and probably the truth was the first casualty. |

I didn't know that and won't mention it again now, thanks. I don't abhor celeb gossip and don't remember saying I did, but then again I can't remember what I had for breakfast half the time. I do try to correct 'facts' the if I think they're wrong - and sometimes it's me who's wrong. It's a hard habit to break.

I was just writing that children can adjust to things if handled properly. There are two daughters age about 7 so they are quite possibly SCD fans. Plently pf children live happily with effectively two sets of parents and can love them both. It seems dismissive to suggest that childrencan only like their birth mother.
Secondly why the hell should the children have to adjust to a destructive situation not of their making. Kids do adjust, they sadly have no option in those circumstances. |
