Firstly there is life outside Planet Strictly.
Secondly why the hell should the children have to adjust to a destructive situation not of their making. Kids do adjust, they sadly have no option in those circumstances.
Of course they adjust and mostly cope but the scars and the damage are very often irreparable.

As are the ones when people who end up in strong dislike stay together 'for the kids'.. There's no easy solution. Life sucks sometimes and the ones who seem to get the ropey end of the stick are the ones with no input at all.

I love celebrity gossip and I would guess the majority on forums do too. We love speculating about celebs and pontificating about them. It's fun 😂😂

And the men are just innocent delicate little flowers who had no choice to enter the evil Kristina's lair and leave their perfectly happy marriages.

No.
They both had that moment of choice when they could have stopped but decided to go on with it.
They are grown ups after all.

For those of you in doubt, Kristina has confirmed that she's leaving strictly ...The Sun quotes an Hello interview done just before she entered the CBB house

I thought she was leaving even before the pregnancy news

Edited to add a Daily Mail article with more detail

I do apologise, I did not mean to be rude I just thought I remembered you once saying that you tend not to believe anything in The Mail and find celebrity gossip just that......gossip.
No need to apologise, it does sound like something that I would say, I honestly just don't remember if I did or not.

I wish her the VERY best. I hope she has a safe pregnancy and less stressful one as well. The amount of vitriol directed towards her never cease to astound me. Poor Woman .
Why would a woman or man stay in a loveless marriage ? People fall out of love; it sad/a shame but it happens. I wished people would stop blaming her for the demise of Ben's marriage. It takes 2 to tango. People almost never blame him. CRAZY . I can just tell that a lot of people directing their ire towards her are doing it from a personal place.

Yes I know she has quite a reputation and I am aware of her history but people have been far more supportive or empathetic towards other pros in a more or less similar situation(I could name them but I wont ) than her.

I will terribly miss her on Strictly; She was one of my favorites pros. I wish her the very best.

This isn't just true of Kristina, in my experience women tend to get the blame, either as a temptress, or the boring stay at home wife who couldn't 'keep her man', and can't 'move on'. I think it's very rude about men as well, the idea that they're so weak willed that they can be dragged off.

Kristina does have a reputation, but in my opinion (which is I admit based solely on what I've read in the press and here, rather than any inside knowledge) is that she's a 'bad picker'. She's said for some years that she's wanted to settle down and have a family, so I really hope it works out for her.

Whilst I don't agree with trolling and suchlike, I fail to have much sympathy for Kristina. I recall an interview where she talked about how much she relied on Ben's emotional support during SCD and how close she felt to him etc... That was hugely inappropriate behaviour given he had/has a wife and children. She's a grown woman, how can she not see that her behaviour possibly contributed to the breakdown of the marriage? Since then she's done various interviews, appeared on Loose Women etc to act the victim, press intrusion etc - that doesn't sit well with me. Now it's culminated in her announcing a pregnancy (pregnant by a man not even divorced yet) on a trashy reality tv programme coupled with a magazine interview. Nope, I'm failing to see why I should feel sorry for her. And it really annoys me to see people criticising the wife, saying she should keep a "dignified silence". The woman is probably at the end of her tether, the mistress seems to have no problem continually blabbing on about the relationship and making cash from her family's heartbreak.

I'm no fan of Christina but I don't get this "mistress" or still married idea. Yes, legally he is, but that's just because it takes a while to legally get a divorce, further complicated by their financial situation. In no other way apart from legally does he appear to still be Abbey's husband. As for getting someone pregnant while still (legally) married, well unfortunately no contraceptive is 100% effective and if you're having sex before you're legally divorced, chances are you could end up with a baby.

And how many people seriously wait to enter another relationship until the ink has dried on their divorce papers? I've known so many people move on while the legal paperwork goes on, and since divorce takes months (and often a lot, lot longer), should people put their lives on hold until the law says you're divorced when in practice you're no longer together?

Not too old at all to have a baby. Too old for it to be an "accident"
My mother at 40 was very surprised to find herself in labour 9 months after her " menopause"

In fact quite a few " older " mothers have a surprise pregnancy.

For me it's not the fact that she is pregnant that I find slightly tacky, it's the way it was announced and really the fact that at no point, it seems did either Ben or Kristina think of the repercussions of their affair on others.

At least wait till he was separated before becoming involved with one another. Ben at fault more so because it was his marriage and his children he is harming, but following on behind, Kristina.

The excuse of I just couldn't help it, shows a selfishness and lack of respect for others, wife and children, that shows neither Ben or Kristina in a particularly good light.

No one comes away from this sort of situation unscathed, nor will the coming baby.

Everything could and should have been handled better in order to minimise harm to others.

Well according to the DM she's been evicted from the Big Brother house and Ben Cohen wasn't there to greet her. Not being a fan of Big Brother I'm not sure what the normal procedure is regarding who is meant to be waiting for you on the outside.

Someone correct me if I'm wrong but, I think partners/family normally appear when their loved one is up for eviction. Perhaps he is just staying away due to the negativity surrounding their relationship?

Ben was apparently looking after his daughters with his ex wife. It's also been reported that he hasn't been seen in public since news of Kristina's pregnancy broke.

No idea if this is true but that's what the press are saying.

On his Twitter he now claims to have flu. Kristina apparently claimed last night on CBB that she has seen him since leaving the house. I feel a bit sorry for the unborn baby who's innocent in all this.

The Mail today has the headline:
<tabloid voice on> 'Ben & Kristina leading separate lives' <tabloid voice off>

I do hope, for the sake of the as yet unborn child, and Kristina, that this is a load of bolleaux, and that Ben does indeed have the flu' But Ben does seem to be a bit of a bell end, so who knows?

I agree with a lot of your sentiments edy, especially the last one.

I'll miss her on SCD, she was my favourite professional dancer too. Best of luck to her and her baby.

I completely agree. I wish all the best for his ex and all the children involved, none of them deserved this.
