By Katie's own admission when she was writing for The Sun she had to dumb down to appeal to her audience. LJ, SB and Hopkins all now write for the Mail and close friend is good friends with SB......believe me she is nothing like her Mail persona. She paid off her mortgage being what The Mail wanted her to be.....for clickbait. Another friend is a journalist with the Sun......Oxbridge double first and has worked under JM. These are all extremely clever women who write to appeal to which ever media market they find themselves working in. Loose Women is a magazine show so yes they consider it journalism. Have you noticed that SB doesn't write for The Mail half as much now? She doesn't need to because she achieved her financial goals and doesn't need the the grief that comes with being one of the Mail's most hated journalists.

I'm really pleased for Kristina and I don't see why she couldn't carry on doing the show. The baby will be at least 3 months old by the time the next series starts. I think the fact she's done CBB will stop her being asked back, not having a baby. I think doing CBB is a mistake, but she's in there now, so that's that. I will miss her if she's not doing the show.

I mean, I know it's the mail and I shouldn't have clicked on it, but that article is heinous, vindictive and spiteful, especially trying to undermine their relationship at the end. I'm happy for her, and she seems happy with Ben and that's all that matters. Unfortunately, we can't always help who we fall in love with and I think Kristina has been very unlucky with the tag the papers have tarred her with- Hopefully she'll retire, have her baby and the tabloids will leave her alone, she's an excellent dancer and deserves it

The pros start rehearsals at the start of August, so if she's not yet three months pregnant at the moment I highly doubt she'd be able to do Strictly this year.

November is the most common month to fall pregnant, with August the most common for births. As no one knows 'how' far along Kristina is, who can say?

Remember how fit dancers are, she might want to start back asap, especially if she wants the money. Just saying it isn't a foregone conclusion she won't be back because she's pregnant.

I can't see her coming back to Strictly. The way she spoke about the show in her CBB VT was slightly critical, not as critical as Ola has been, but still critical. I think she's ready to move on.

I don't think the relationship with Ben is going to last either, I don't think he seems as into her as she is to him,

I don't want to go into it in depth here, again this is a SCD thread, it is not for these women 'journalists'. However I am not basing my opinions on Katie by her articles alone, I am basing them on her speaking for herself under nobodies payroll or instruction. I have found her to be lacking in the supreme intelligence she insists she possesses and her vocabulary underwhelming for a so called 'word-smith', she seems to just stick to one insult and repeat.
However if you shout something enough times, many people will believe it, and certain people who believe what she says also believes she is a very intelligent person.

Again I fail to understand your logic. Kristina states she is going into the BB house to change public perception of her and their relationship and then drops a bombshell of such magnitude that the journalists have no option to print it, report it and discuss it? And the papers those journalists work for, the very people who Kristina want to change the opinion of write on the comments page in their thousands. How could it be more relevant? She's certainly got everyone talking about her......again. Is that what she wanted because I'm certain her actions are not making it any clearer to understand her thought processes here.

That's a really terrible attitude to have. I'm sensitive to the ex & children as well, and don't condone the whole BS with Ben and Kristina, but Kristina isn't to blame for Ben being a sleazebag. It's so outdated to blame the woman when the poor widdle weak minded man can't keep it in his pants.

I hope Kristina gets a lot of happiness in life. I don't like certain things she's done (& this announcement at this time is one of them) but I would never wish heartache and broken homes on anyone. She's not an idiot - she must know this isn't a fairytale so...yeah. Good luck to her. I hope she finds the happiness and acceptance she's looking for - I don't wish her ill at all, & I don't think anyone right minded would.

Not been following in the press but from what I have seen, she seems to have been commenting regularly and running a vendetta campaign against her ex husband.

I would call it dignified if she just accepted that the marriage was over and got on with her life for her own sake and that of the children.

She seems incredibly angry so I donn't think that will ever happen. She will be in Celebrity Big Brother in 30 years, like Angie Bowie is now.

If she's expected to have her baby around July time and pro rehearsals start early in August I don't see much chance at all of her being available for the next series - she won't just give birth and go straight into intense training surely? Plus she may well want to bond with her new baby rather than throw herself into a TV show that requires a LOT of time and energy.

I don't think she'll be back, but Tristan and Trent missed the August rehearsals in 2014 and learned the dances by watching videos of the others rehearsing. IF both Kristina and Strictly want her to be on, and the baby's born in July, I think it could be arranged - they could give her another duffer so she'd have an easy year, or they could even use her the same way they used Joanne this year, on ITT (she did at least one Choreography Corner already) and doing interviews.

But she'll be 39 this year, she's been around a long time, I think Simon was her last "reward" celeb, etc. My guess is she's gone. But then, I thought that about Ola after the ski jump accident so I suppose they might want Kristina just for the added publicity.
