I have used Ccleaner on my pc and laptop for many years and like the software.

I have noted from the Ccleaner website that an app for IOS 9+ is not currently available. Accordingly, can any member recommend a similar app for an iphone and please note that it can either be free or paid for.

Many thanks in advance of any guidance provided to me.

CCleaner is on the App Store for iOS 9 and above, last updated in December:

I don't see the point in using it though, unless you have thousands of phone numbers and contacts it's quite useless.

Apple doesn't give apps the ability to access anything remotely like the system files in iOS, so there's no app that can clear out your temp files or cache.

iOS doesn't really need a cleaning app. Just keep background apps in check and it will pretty much sort itself out.
Occasionally it doesn't hurt to do a soft reset (hold down the home and power buttons until you see the Apple symbol) just to freshen it up.
However if you want something then I would recommend Battery Doctor.
Helps you manage your battery and has a junk cleanup and a separate install-able app that just does the junk and temp files. Not that there are any junk or temp files to clean mind you!

Battery Doctor has a temporary files and cache cleaning ability.

Yeah but you'll find that as soon as you open any app the temp files fills right up again.
Therefore I don't think it's actually doing much really.

Funny thing is, since i've had my 6s, the junk cleaning facility of Battery Doctor has basically been redundant because it never finds anything, even to the point where i'm wondering if i even need the app at all now.

I don't know if it's down to iOS 9 and the 6s itself, but it always used to find stuff to clean when i had a 5s.

Lol why? I've been using iPhones since the 3G and I've never used anything like that and my phones have ran perfectly.

It's not genuine.

Ah that makes sense, it doesn't seem like CCleaner other than the name and icon. Would've thought Apple control the App Store tighter than this.

There's a built in way (I think since in IOS 9) to free up RAM etc. Just hold the power button until you see the slide to power off message. Don't slide it, just let go of the power button and then press and hold the home button until the screen flashes. That's it !

Whoha!!! That isn't right by a long stretch.
Aren't Apple all over this?
Why would they have to be "working with Apple" to sort this??
They have clearly stolen the icon and name!!
Madness!!!!
Another feedback email to Apple methinks.
Everyone else should do the same......
