Then shortly after, there was a VT including Letitia calling Darren 'Professor Higgins' so I think stuff from here does get passed on sometimes.

I know a soap star who was asked to do show 2014 but filming schedules would not have worked at the time said whatever you do, do not look at DS and they laughed and said that is a given after what they had seen written re the actual soap they were in.

I think I would if I was one of the pro dancers, had responsibility for choosing the music and was looking for some inspiration for song choices. Let's face it, I'm pretty sure most of the ideas which have come from DS users have been FAR better than what have been used on SCD recently. Anyone agree?

I would be interested to know if any of the dancers/producers use this site when trying to decide on what pieces of music to use for the routines.

Pretty much all of the improvements the producer introduced for Series 8 had been suggested on here before then.
Of course there are a lot of ***t ideas on here too, so they still have to be able to tell the difference.

Unfortunately I don't think the pro dancers have much say in the music choices anymore (which probably explains a lot). They can request certain pieces of music at the beginning of a series - especially something that has a relevance to their pro celeb - but there is no guarantee the request will be granted.

But to answer the original question, if I was involved with the show there is no way I would look at any of the forums - here or anywhere else - and I would certainly advise any newcomers to the show to do the same. I remember reading one DS poster describe one of the last batch of celebs as being "vile and ugly" - unbelieveable. But can you imagine if that poor celeb had read that?

PR might get a media monitoring company to do it ....

They'd be daft if they didn't.

If a thread upset me then I certainly wouldn't be daft enough to keep reading it or posting on it!
