Not really no.
I don't agree with his views, but he seems to have been nice to other people.
As for the comments about gay parenting, which were made before he went into the BB house, anyone remember the story in the news early last year when the clothes designers Dolce and Gabbana, who are both gay, spoke of being against same sex parenting as well and Elton John went into a tirade about it?
There are many gay people who are against Gay marriage believe it or not, so it doesn't seem that much of a stretch for some people to be skeptical against same sex parenting.
These are opinions. It doesn't necessarily make somebody homophobic and full of hate.
However Winston hasn't really helped himself with the some of the opinions he has expressed in the house. It would give his competitors in there plenty of ammunition to use against him and this show just isn't going to exactly be on his side and is going to show them to viewers.
It was interesting to see how Angie reacted in the garden. That to me looked like somebody full of hatred.
I don't think that there is any evidence that same sex parenting has been harmful to the children involved in this relatively short period of time, so I suppose to decide that it definitely is does suggest an element of homophobia. To say that it is akin to child abuse is bound to cause fireworks. No doubt he would have intended to be controversial when he said that, which I must repeat was said before he went into the BB house, and BB evidently knew about it, hence the question in the task.
But I think Winston was a very easy target who BB always intended to get rid of in week 1.
I don't share his feelings and I suppose I take the stance of John Partridge more than I do Angie, who is another one of these campaigners for gay rights speaking on behalf of gay people and overcompensating.
It's easy to condemn somebody for being homophobic, and in Winston's case there is enough to make you think that he probably is, but equally it can look worse when the people doing the condemning display even more bitter hatred.
