Christians are not meant to have anything to do with politics either. So I've been told.

Well to be fair, that moral and righteous book the bible which justifies his views doesn't have a very nice attitude to women.

Hmm well the Bible is just people's interpretation of what God said so what is the difference between that and more modern interpretations of God now saying that Christianity allows Gay priests and Gay marriage.

When you read poster's response to that. I've already said that saying gay parents are akin to child abuse isn't Christian so yes if a Muslim HM was famous for shouting about their obnoxious slanted take on Islam then I am sure BB would relish showing them up for that too.

i dont not agree with him at all however! i went to a christian school where the majority had these views becasue of the way they had been brought up. i would of saved Winston only because he needed being brother more he needed an education to change his homophobic views shouting and screaming at him aint gonna change anything it may make him keep quiet but he will still have homophobic thoughts. We do the same with racism making people scared mute. I really feel for him because if we had the same childhood teaching as him we would most likely have the same thoughts

I don't think anyone is insinuating that God wrote the bible himself, quill in hand.

And Muslims don't

Ask your Muslim politicians if they follow Islam, if they do they believe homosexuals should die along with non believers, but they won't admit to it.

The majority of faiths also teach that sex before marriage or outside of marriage is wrong. Yet very few get upset about heterosexual couples sleeping together without a wedding ring. How come they don't condemn these people as un-Christian or un-Godly? Surely these people are unfit to be parents as well seeing as they don't follow the religious teachings? A lot of religious people do pick and choose what to get upset about and seem to be obsessed on the issue of homosexuality.

In my denomination, Catholicism, it is very frowned upon.

Islam would but in any case no one has tried to get religion to change their rules on sex before marriage but politicians and non religious people are as good as trying to outcast people for their religious beliefs these days which won't work as the fear of god/the afterlife (if its hell) worries religious people much more than society.

Oh right, so 3 of the biggest faiths compromising the best part of 3 Billion people have got it wrong then and just a few who CHOOSE to "change" what their faiths are the ones who are right? Nah.

Sick of outright nastiness being justified by religion it's not an excuse! Says a lot more about the religion you follow and about your lack of character if you're so sheepish tbh...

God didn't write the qur'an either, but it was his orders which were told to the Prophet Muhammad by the Angel Gabriel over 23 years or so. Muhammad couldn't write either so he had to get his friends to write down what he had been told/instructed.

Just because religions do not allow something, does not mean its a hate thing! Lots of things are not allowed in religion such as sex before mariage too, what hate crime is that then?!

You pretty much said they've got it wrong on their interpretation of the sexual act of homsexuality being forbidden and i'm saying no way would that amount of people all be wrong and over centuries too.
