Not much of a point just you trying to force an argument about something that didn't even happen.

I hear a lot of religious people say something like this whenever someone else mentions a pacific part of the Bible that the religious person doesn't follow. God should've just given out a quick list of instructions for us all to follow, in order to avoid burning in Hell forever.

If he had said he didn't believe gay people should adopt, I would have accepted his opinion. However his words were he believes that adoption by gay is akin to child abuse, is disgusting and a kick in the teeth to real abuse victims!

At the time the law was being changed to allow gay people to marry when people made the point you have I told them that I as a hetrosexual person have had quite a lot of gay/bi sexual people make full on advances towards me, and when I told them I'm not gay, and said no, they did not stop. I keep on getting told "don't knock it till you tried it, how do you know you won't like it", things like that. I do wonder how many people may have given into that kind of pressure. In any case I think my experiences there are an example of how some gay people do try and co-erce those who are not gay into having "relationships" with them.

On your other point that "there god made them like that", - this life is not fair, some people are born with disabilities, some die soon after birth, all sorts of horible things that happen to some of us or all of us in our lives at some point. People who are religious are of the view/belief that we are unable to comprehend why god allows certain things to happen and they just go with it hoping that when they do pass on, they will hopefully be reunited with those they lost in life and will be in a good place/one of the heavens.

All religious views should be booed. Loudly.

there are actually 3 things that are clashing:

having an opinion
expressing this opinion
expressing this opinion in a hateful/derisory way

winston has an opinion (no prob)
winston expresses opinion (fair enough, but may have backlash)
winston said what he said (must be condemned by CIVIL, LAY society)
