I'm glad he is gone but watching those HMs tonight trying to outdo each other on who was most offended by some years old comment was sickening. Except for jeremy! I like him lots now.

The problem is that your 'right' is someone elses 'wrong' , we all have opinions .
And to be set up like that is despicable , better to have an honest and open debate than throwing someone to the wolves and trying to humiliate them

That's a fair point. I am glad he's gone but I have a feeling Nancy was a gonner and big brother did this to get him out.

Winston set himself up by saying that sort of thing in the first place, then going into the BB house knowing it was bound to be used. He set himself up in the entrance VT, his own words again, then he starting perving too.

Agree, it was low and the man didn't deserve such disgusting bear baiting.
Nowadays believing in the bible gets you labelled homophobic regardless of how at pains
Winston explained he didn't hate anyone.
The way the rest of them twisted what he said and not one putting their head above the parapet wasn't surprising, it's the same culture as schoolyard bullying as far as I'm concerned.
Winston is a bigger man than anyone on BB tonight.

I understand but I didn't think they needed to drag it out , just kick the fool out . I would have much preferred if they didn't give him a platform to spout his bile in the first place

To be fair BB will throw anybody under a bus to sensationalize a storyline, not just Winston. They often highlight a phrase that they say will offend the public - and then repeat the phrase several times in case anybody missed it.

Absolutely no entertainment watching a man walking to the gallows like that.
BB's treatment of Winston was disgusting, does anyone really know his exact words, possibly (possibly not) twisted by the tabloids?

Edit...ok he just admitted he more or less did.

They should have just let him go by public vote.

Unless.................

as he wasn't voted out by public vote (least votes etc) BB can technically bring him back with their made up on the spot rules.

Well he still thinks it and repeats it. I think he's learned nothing.

Still in his own bubble I wonder if he'll think differently looking at the papers tomorrow.

I posted earlier how I was looking forward to Winston leaving to loud boos and hoping he looked upset about it, which he did, which I liked watching

Completely disagree with the way C5 set it up though and thought it disgusting. 13-1 for him to go and then leaving him shuffling him off to the exit was a bit uncomfortable to me. Especially because of the non-set up of the whole thing and the way it was unveiled at the last minute.

I chose not to watch, bringing someone in so that he can be humiliated and destroyed is every bit as vile as his child abuse comment.

It is disturbing to see how free speech is being bullied out of people.

Agree with you. I was watching with my sister last night and when he started being creepy we wanted him gone and we both didn't like his comments but that just seemed wrong. We were saying how we didn't like the way Big Brother engineered that because we ended up feeling sorry for a man we didn't like at all.

We need to stick with what goes on in the house , and stop bashing people just cos they said something a million years ago , it's something he believes in and is unrepentant

Simple fact is they shouldn't have put him in the house in the first place, they've nobody to blame but themselves

I agree. He was also lambasted daily by the Mirror newspaper, who also take every opportunity to have a go at UKIP. Whatever happened to freedom of speech?

Gays have a hard time - it's getting better for them but it's still tough. I have a gay male friend who also says that gays shouldn't adopt. The reason being that this child will probably also have a hard time going through school, for having two mums or two dads. Other children can be so cruel.

Given the chance, he may have had his mind changed once he'd lived in the house for a while.

That was wrong. Ch5 profited from the controversy over his remarks whilst being able to take the moral highground by setting him up for condemnation.

Ofcom should censure them for that - not the behaviour of a responsible broadcaster.

Why do people keep bringing up freedom of speech? Freedom of speech does not mean you are entitled to an opinion without people challenging or attacking you for it. It just means the government will not prosecute you for it.

Free speech also means that the Mirror and other publications can attack Winston, after all, free speech works both ways.

He was disciplined for approaching people for a hug and told it's not allowed and the first thing that happened when he went back in the house Megan approached him for a hug.
And while the others who slept with 500 women, took cocaine, had sex on TV, had a threesome before their wedding got a nice cheer from the housemates he was abused.
And why were all the others cards life incidents and his was a controversial opinion. All these do gooders make me sick.
