I have never, ever seen anything so blatant and despicable. I'm a bit shocked TBH.

Yup - exactly. Many of us disagree with his views, but believe that he should have every right to express them.

He was set up...

..but if you had those views, were widely known to have those views...and expressed them openly (in the manner he does) ...you'd surely know you were being set up?

I mean he must have known he'd be hated for expressing those views in his VT and in the house.

But the point is he hasn't really been challenged ,he's a so called political so would probably be up for debate , none of this happened so he was fed to the wolves , quite ridiculous really

His career is probably over, or at the very least taken a massive dent.

So you can have views, beliefs and opinions as long as they're the same as yours.

For the same reason they shouldn't have put Hopkins in either, giving negative hateful people a platform. He said those comments a year ago, what on earth made them think putting him on a popular gay friendly show would be a good idea?

No you can have any view, belief, opinion you want. Just don't expect to not be attacked for it since that would be my right of free speech.

After all, free speech works both ways.

Didn't a recent female HM(danielle 2014?) have equivalent concerns on sleeping arrangements? Maybe I'm imaging it. Difficult to comment too much further without being sure, but why would that have been different from from this? Even if it didn't happen with a female HM, hypothetically the issue could have arisen ie a woman not wanting to be in the same bed as a man or a man not wanting to be in the same bed as a woman. What is the difference?

The thing is, he knew how he would be portrayed, and chose to go in anyway for the money and the fame, so unless he's the most naive person in the world, he deserved all the condemnation he got.

Exactly - he didn't say them on the program.

Yep.

and why on earth choose that comment as part of the task. He has outdated views, he clearly isn't that bright - why did they set him up like that? I'm sure there were many, many comments/incidents they could have used as part of that task.

Disgusting IMO.

I have no time for Winston, a fking odd ball of a man jumping party ship all the time. His homosexual views are stupid.

But he was set up clearly for this but then again, it was his decision to go in.

Well that sounds like you are for censorship, which I don't agree with. I detest 99% of what Hopkins says and stands for, but I would never, ever, advocate silencing her or anyone else simply because they have opinions that are not in line with my own.

Completely agree... I am so against his views and I am utterly disgusted by them.

BUT to set him up for such a public 'hanging' was uncomfortable viewing for me... completely unnecessary I felt also.

I think (I am sure!) he was already voted out by the public was going to be out well ahead of Nancy, so to stand him up for such a personal and public slating was just way too much and wrong on so many levels.

I agree ,and think Emma almost alluded to that fact ,by saying on SOTS that him going was a blessing in disguise for himself ,as if he'd stayed things would've only got a whole lot worse and Uglier for him the longer he stayed in

I turned off half way through his interview with Emma, it was awful, like watching a public flogging. I wanted him to go tonight but way before he was voted out I'd started to feel sorry for him. He was really baffled by the warning in the diary room, presumably because Nancy had not indicated to him that she was made to feel uncomfortable by him. I hope he feels his fee was worth it.

Probably due to the fact that this thread is on the BB forum and is about Winston.

Just a thought.

Yes, people every right to ridicule, confront or dislike him for those views. Why should Winston's "religious views" prevent him from this?

Also, no one forced Winston to join Big Brother. He did it of his own free will, and he can't cry 'victim' when he comes off looking badly. And given his track record in Politics, he should be pretty used to coming off badly in votes.

Now Rylan is jumping on the bandwagon and continuing the bullying.

I don't agree with Winston's views, but CBB & BOTS knew his views before he was invited to go on the show.

It is not CBB or BOTS role to judge people per se, only on their conduct in the house!

FFS it's not bullying for someone's views to be challenged or even attacked.

Yes, and should any Muslim or Catholic Priest say the same, I'd tell them how stupid their remarks are too.
