Corrie - Nick and Leanne
Will they reunite again? I love Nick and Carla but obviously with Alison's exit permanent they will be doomed. Unless he leaves aswell. I think it's nice Leanne and Nick get on so well now and I'm thinking she might well be the person he goes to when his world comes crashing down. Thought maybe she was going to get with Robert but he ended up sleeping with Carla and probably does get back with Tracy. Can't really see Nick with anyone else on the street, same with Leanne

I preferred Leanne with Nick than when she was with Kal as they have chemistry and they have had a long history I loved them in the 90s (until Nick forced her to have an abortion). If they can't be together the only other partnership I would like would be Leanne and Steve and then Michelle and Nick could pair up.

We all know it's going to happen eventually, so can't they just put Nick and Gail together? They look about the same age.

Kal was awful . I think if they are going to put Nick and Leanne together again then that needs to be it. I can't imagine Nick and Michelle. They do have quite a good friendship. Although with Steve's breaks maybe it will make them pair her with someone else. I know Nick has also been with Eva and Maria. Although I don't really remember much about him and Maria together. Is she coming back I assume at some point?

I wouldn't be totally against it but I rather not, we have been there umpteenth times before and it hasn't worked out. They work much better as friends, I enjoy watching them as a good support to each other. I also loved them in the 90s but they never managed to regain the chemistry they had back then. I want to break this never ending cycle of them splitting up-getting back together.
Another reason is, is that I am desperate for Leanne and Robert to became partners. I wouldn't mind seeing Nick and Maria back together, I know they were never together for that long but I think they would both be well suited, both have matured in the last 10 years, probably have similar interests, same age group etc, though it may not work as they were together when Rickitt was portraying Nick. |

When Leanne was with BP Nick I never got a sense of the puppy love she'd found with Adam Rickitt's, and everything they had gone through. The chemistry wasn't the same, probably because he looks a good ten years older than she does when they're supposed to be the same age! I prefer them as friends running the Bistro together.
I have never bought Carla and Nick either. Neither had shown the slightest bit of interest in the other before and there was certainly enough interaction during the tedious love square for it to happen. Leanne and Steve and Michelle and Nick... hmm. I think it would be taking partner swapping too far. All these people living on one small street and yet it's never awkward. Remember Steve and Michelle are supposed to be the new Jack and Vera... I don't see TPTB splitting them up any time soon. |

It's the BIB which is the problem. I believe Nick is supposed to be four years younger than Tracy, but he looks about 60 year old. Making any romance involving him look ridiculous. Unless he turned out to be a millionaire, in which case it would be perfectly reasonable.
![]() I never really understood the huge issue with Ben's age. I don't really see the problem especially now. He has grown into the role of Nick. |

AR had better chemistry with Jane Danson and his relationship with Gail wasn't creepy that I recall. Neither Nick actor was/is any great shakes imo. TG is a bit too old for Robert but I'm more concerned with how wooden he is in scenes with virtually anyone. In a way that stands out (worse than either Nick)... when Kate Ford is showing you up you know there's a problem. |

I think it's because Adam Rickitt was so fresh-faced and that the character was only supposed to be about 30 upon his return. I am not saying BP looks bad but he does look his age imo and from unflattering angles older.

I would rather see Leanne with Peter Barlow again one day in the future. But please not with Nick yet again.
This is one of the reasons I am glad

I think Peters return is inevitable and given Simons recent issues it's likely to bring Leanne and Peter back together, which I'm not averse to. I do love Leanne and whilst I actually prefer her with Nick. It has been kinda done to death now. Putting them back together after everything they've been through would be kinda lazy IMO.
I just have no idea who Nick will end up with next, if the actress weren't popping up in Hollyoaks I'd have welcomed the return of the wonderful Natasha Blakeman perhaps with Nicks secret son?! |

Does Leanne need to be with anyone, is she incapable of being without a man?

Of course she does. She can't take half of an imaginary husbands business and homes in the inevitable break up if he's imaginary, can she?
Thanks.
