Davina was always oddly hostile to the wrong housemates, like Suzie from bb7. But she never actually gave tough interviews when warranted like towards Grace.

Dreary me her mate Rylan having a go at a serious interview and failing big style.

Yes the Grace interview was particularly terrible. Davina laughed along with Grace after her throwing the water at Suzie. Couldn't believe that!

I never thought I would say this, but Rylan is by far the better and most professional presenter

(tonight alone)

Me either. That's when I went off of her.

This. He was like a rabbit in the headlights. Inarticulate bigot.

She might have been lovely but was unproffesional, she is supposed to be impartial.

I was actually glad that she didn't hide her dislike of him.

Is she? After all this is a trashy third-rate entertainment show, I don't think she has to be impartial at all.

Not only tonight but last summer with Farah Abraham.Rylan was far more professsional than Emma.Emma is too personal and doesnt focus on the show. Rylan is a gay man but handled it better.

Not really. Rylan was just more passive aggressive about it. And he just made it all about him. I actually preferred Emma's way of interviewing Winston.

Same here. It's not like it's the BBC who are actually obligated to be impartial. ( Whether the BBC do that is another debate and irrelevant ).

EXACTLY! Anyone would think this is Question Time we're talking about!

And Winston was out (judging by the audience, at the very least) before they showed all that crap about his views on gay rights anyway. The voting lines closed before it, and the audience were booing him every time his name was mentioned.

He's an insidious creep. As I've said here, or perhaps elsewhere, had he have been a white guy saying something racist, you'd expect the presenter to bring it up and have some pretty firm views on the subject. This is no different, except that some people think we have to treat his views with "kid gloves" because he speaks from a "Christian perspective".

He'll cry victim, he'll cry persecution, but the fact is - if you want to put yourself on a platform and say what you think, you'd be an absolute fool to think there wouldn't be a backlash.

Too trashy to post on a forum?? TV Presenter is a job,not a personal role. You think the producers didnt know he had those views to put him on the show? She had to give him space to say his bit not tell him off.

I didn't watch last year. I don't usually watch CBB actually, I tend to watch the launch then get bored. But for some reason I kept with it this year

At least Rylan is letting the guy speak. Emma kept asking the same question then talking over him. Not what I call an interview tbh

The TV presenter role is whatever Channel 5 want it to be. You're suggesting this whole thing was setup by the presenters, so Emma Willis was probably told to react like this too. His point was that C5 make it a trashy-entertainment show, so they have a matching presenter to go with it. I think it's unfair to directly blame her.

Emma Willis deserves a medal for conducting the interview she did. The man is a deluded, odious creep. Emma is clearly offended, it's impossible for anyone not to be by someone with such extreme archaic views. He deserved to be challenged and producers were right to throw him under the bus!

I sincerely hope that he isn't given another second of airtime and crawls back up his own backside into obscurity. He offended the nation before he even entered the house, it was always going to end badly. Good riddance!

I agree. It's OK to question someone, but keep it professional. Emma unfortunately showed not only her dislike toward Winston, but also her frustration.

Huh? I don't get the bit in bold. I know this show is trashy, that's why I like it & discuss it. It doesn't take itself too seriously and knows what it is. Emma does not need to be impartial because the show itself isn't even impartial.
