Totally agree, he has strong christian views, just like muslims have strong views about their religion.

His views may be old fashioned but they were discussing him on the show like he was a paedophile.

His views are disgusting. End of. If he wasn't so judgemental and insulting to the gay community, his reaction... well... I was going to say it'd have been fine but even his predatory behaviour towards the female housemates was disgusting enough to merit boos. The guy is just gross in general and if he's going to hold such ugly views, he deserves an ugly reception.

People who are feeling sorry for him need to think about what they actually believe in.

Winston has to know his view is controversial and was surely booked by the producers because of this. Therefore, no one should be surprised whatsoever by the outcome.

In my opinion, this was orchestrated from the start for a way of creating publicity for a very weak line-up.

Winston is absolutely entitled to his opinions. He's of a different generation, of a different up bringing and thats just the way he was raised.

I find his comments offensive but i also appreciate that we live in a large world with a large spectrum of people who have a large spectrum of opinions.

I don't feel the need to bully someone into thinking the way i do.

He doesn't seem aggressively anti gay, his views just seem out dated and prejudice.”

You have a more mature and dignified reaction than the intolerant way other people have reacted. My gay friends take a 'whatever' view of opinions like Winston's.

The overly aggressive approach never changes opinions. If anything it reinforces them, society progresses but ancient scriptures can't be rewritten. I was raised as Catholic, and taught that when it comes to the teachings of the bible, you have to use your own conscience, mine says if two people love each other gender doesn't matter.

Hear hear to you sir, I couldn't agree more..

As much as I disagree with his opinions on gays he is entitled to his opinion.

This country is fast turning into something out of the book 1984.

Exactly my view same with racism screaming at them and calling them racist or homophobic booing them and saying you have no respect for them is proven to not work! It either makes more of a division or makes someone become mute but still have bigoted views. This man needs a good long talk about he should of stayed in the house john should of tried to befriend him and tell him how much adoption has an impact on his life

I believe his comments were disgusting and disagree with him on all levels. However I also believe in fairness. There was nothing fair about what happened to Winston tonight.

Winston is homophobic in the sense that he think homosexuality is wrong and this is probably the way he was brought up but he seems to be able to interact and socialise well with gay people without showing prejudice or attacking them and he also says people can do whatever they want (most homophobic people I know can't do this). He probably just needs educating tbh. As sad as it is to say; there are loads of black people (mostly men) of Caribbean and African descent that have the same views as Winston and it's because of the way they've been brought up and the culture.

They wanted to humiliate him.

Based on his time in the house he deserved to go.

Most HMs evicted based on comments made long before he entered the house.

Winston...As a politician you are crap.

Much respect OP. And a true demonstration of compassion by you.

Very good point.

I'm gay and agree that he has a right to express his views! However on equal measure he should be open to criticism and held accountable for these views! Yes big brother decided to share a view of his from outside the house, but he still said it! If you are in the field of politics or in the public eye, hateful or bigoted opinions which are shared should be open for discussion! Freedom of speech is a messy area! If Winston is allowed to express that he doesn't approve of gay people adopting, why doesn't Emma, Rylan or any other person have the freedom to express their dissaproval?

This is the feeling I have.
Challenge somebody's views with your points and your intellect by all means, but to harass somebody just because your view doesn't accord with the majority is just as bad, and as history has shown in some cases can be worse.

EVERYONE is suddenly feeling sorry for Winston. All the top comments are pro-him.

The UK viewing public really have an obsession with "victims".”

Might be guilt. Because I suspect that many people will have reacted with their emotions on a hair-trigger, and deep down will know whether their outbursts were born from hatred within themselves or not.

He just got paid 20,000 pounds a day for 3 days work, which is how he described it, as a job.

I don't feel sorry for him at all.

Winston isn't even a homophobe. He has views on gay people bringing up kids - he doesn't even seem to want to ban that (if he ever got the power to). How can you be a homophobe if you have no issue seeing gay people in a relationship? His views are about another thing, which is something he has done. But to call him a homophobe is a tad...dumb.

It's a perfectly valid opinion for someone to be opposed to gay adoption, it doesn't mean that they are a raving bigot or homophobe. I find all the PC-ness we saw on the show this evening far more offensive than anything Winston said.

Ordinarily I would agree with some of the sentiments expressed here. I don't enjoy seeing evictees being roasted. I find my view often changes as soon as they are in the interview chair, even for those I have disliked in the house.

But in this case we have a guy who aspires to be Mayor of London. If his skin isn't thick enough and his brain quick enough to hold his own against Emma Willis and Rylan Clark how on earth does he hope to cope with the likes of Jeremy Paxman or his successors? Not to mention his political adversaries.

Why?

He wakes up every day and makes a conscious decision to discriminate against other people.

He's the scum or the earth. Like what all conservatives are.

He is not a Tory though. He has belonged to every single party going including Lab, Lib Dems, Cons and UKIP.

I'm watching his interview with Rylan right now.

He's a discriminating scum trash ass-wipe, the same kind all dictators depend on to support their anti social actions.

How the **** is he a Brit if he's black? He's an offspring of an immigrant, a person from a country that Britain probably abused for hundreds of years, sucking up all its resources for Brit's monetary profit.

That's why he's a stupid idiot.

I can't see the issue. He's stood in numerous elections and spoken quite openly to the press so he's actively asking for comment on his opinions. You can't just switch it off when people actually do so.

So why did BB invite him on ?

Just so they could bring him down I suspect.
