was gonna give him credit and say he acted professional and fair and then towards the end he went into full camp mode just to piss winston off. it was childish, and made me cringe.

I don't think he acted any more camp than he normally does. He did make a point of saying "this is gonna be so camp" a couple of times when talking about Jane McDonald's performance. I think that was done deliberately to give Winston one last kick in the nuts before he disappears into oblivion. Shame he couldn't keep his cool as I thought he did well up until that point, even though the whole show was a farce.
