Yes Rylan had a script and a time limit to get through the interview. Winston didn't answer the questions because he had his own agenda as to what he wanted to say and they were very different to what he was being asked. This was particularly shown when on the panel and he couldn't even answer simple questions about his time in the house.
Even in the house when asked things he would only spout nonsense - unless he was in charge of what was being said i.e. he started conversation he talked nonsense.
His agenda was either to make money and / or advance his campaign for Mayor of London.
Winston started the interview with Rylan by trying to butter him up by saying how good he was and I thought Rylan handled him very well. Winston tried to side track him by spouting his people decide speech but like most 'politicians' refused to answer a question.
Winston had to go or would have been thrown out soon enough either for his behaviour towards women or letting his real views slip. He chose o go on - no-one forced him
