Do we guess Winston had more votes to stay than Nancy?

No, Winston was universally vilified. He was not even entertaining.

Nancy / Kristina most definitely got more votes as the viewers voted to get him out.

The twist was just a pathetic attempt at creating drama and showing how PC the housemates where in action against his comments. Happy Jeremy voted honestly and was not influenced by Rent-a-mob.

I honestly think if the housemates had voted without influence Nancy would have gone.

Another point is that Winston being seen to be bottom of the voting would be validation for how BB had treated him and sending out the message that his views were unpopular with the public and he was being punished accordingly. Why on earth would BB start tampering with an eviction where Winston was last in the voting and introducing twists?

Except, at a guess, Winston doesn't read the bible as often as Alan Keyes who seems like a highly articulate, determined, bigot who could never be reasoned with on the subject of homo-sexuality.

It's debatable if Winston is intolerant of gay people imo.

This was already made perfectly clear in last night's episode : no need to introduce a twist in the voting, not unless the voting wasn't going to BB's script.

Agree, however Channel 5 knew for sure that once the housemates would vote either Nancy / Winston out and give a reason with the added pressure of an intense GET WINSTON OUT and goodness knows what else abusive comments where slung at Winston during Emma going live to the house, they're obviously going to use "I don't agree with your views on Gay people" mantra. Its why I am more angry that the twist was allowed to happen.

It would have been more fair if they did it without influence from the crowd as Nancy would have gone. Two hours before the eviction Jonathan was telling Gemma I think on a video from the website how he "could not stand" Nancy and was hoping she would go. Does that sound like someone who would vote off Winston over Nancy.

It was a rigged twist.

By the Housemates yes

I,wouldn't be at all surprised to found out Winston had more public votes and Emma almost alluded to that fact last night on SOTS ,by saying It was a good thing and blessing indisguise that Winston was voted out ,as it would've have only got a whole lot worse and been more damaging for him the longer he had stayed in as the outrage and nastiness was growing

I think Winston staying via the public vote would have been a major source of embarrassment to the producers. They're busy high fiving each other and Emma and Rylan at how PC they are and how monstrous Winston's opinions are but then he surviving the most atrocious producer edit would be nothing short of humiliating for them, so they had to come up with a desperate last minute twist to prevent it.

I'm not sad that Winston has gone. But the way they went about this last night was diabolical. I think it's a good guess that Winston would have been saved by the phone vote. I feel most sadness for those still wasting money making phone calls to vote.

X Factor pulled a similar stunt in 2010 with Mary Byrne - Cher Lloyd and took an unprecedented amount of flak. I guess BB can get away with this as Winston is unpopular but it definitely shows they are as devious and manipulative as Cowell and his minions.

Agree, they ensured he went home whatever the result. Same with how Farrah got booted out, her eviction was pathetic and the treatment on BOTS with Rylan stirring it was also disgusting to watch.

Big Brother yet again rigs the result to it's own agenda, obviously planned from the start, the housemates would never even been aware of this out of context comment if they hadn't plastered it on a board to literally frame Winston, they knew the attention seeking housemates would have a field day acting outraged for media political correctness points.
Had Winston treated any of the housemates badly or disrespectfully, no. If his comment is so offensive than BB shouldn't have given it air time by repeating it themselves.
All planned from at least the inception of this dumb task if not from the start, otherwise they would have changed the housemates voting when they could see it was gonna be a forgone conclusion.
Housemates so outraged at somebody having an opinion different to theirs but totally fine for them to all gang up and bully one guy, all sanctioned and encouraged by Big Brother. I lost a lot of respect for Emma too for giving him such a hard time after they had already slaughtered him one by one, although I expect they instructed her to grill him to the max, but still, what a farce!!!!”

Ironically I think if Winston wasn't so attention-seeking himself then he wouldn't be in this mess in the first place.

There's no way in hell I'd shoot my mouth off with outrageous comments about gay adoption and then later go on one of the most gay-friendly shows on TV. Especially knowing the media have such a huge influence over it.
I think Winston's priorities are totally confused and he's suffered the consequences.

The point was drama and humiliation I cannot say it was very pleasant to watch because it just wasn't but I see no way in which Nancy would have gotten less votes than Winston.

Why on earth would they change the rules in order to get Winston out?! Surely they'd be much more likely to try and keep him IN? If he'd stayed, there'd be more controversy, more arguments, and subsequently more headlines, publicity and ratings.

I can't think of any possible scenario where they'd want to keep Nancy over him. No matter how much they've paid her.
