Emma was phenomenal tonight

I disagree with the consensus on here that Emma was terrible tonight. She stood up for what she believed in and any decent person would've challenged someone's views on likening gay adoption to child abuse. A claim like that is disgusting and the fact he didn't even apologise and instead dodged the questions makes him absolutely vile. Good riddance to bad trash in my opinion.

I thought the trash tonight was Emma

I thought Rylan's interview was better personally. Emma's always seem half hearted, she isn't strong enough to deal with these kind of situations.

Agree, and I don't really like Emma that much. The man is a repugnant bigot she was quite right to challenge his views etc.

That's not her job.

She was dreadful . It's not her job to be the moral policewoman , all judge and jury, trying to convert winston to her kind of thinking

You challenge people , but your own opinions shouldn't come into it because then impartiality becomes void , and she ceases to be the interviewer and may as well join the panel or go sit in the audience.unprofessional.

Positive or negative, people give Emma (and Davina before her) way too much credit where the interviews are concerned. She gives the interview the producers tell her to give, simple as that.

Having said that, it was nice to see her giving him a hard time. He's entitled to think whatever he wants, but opinions like that should be challenged.

You could say Winston too was standing for to what he believed in. Whether we like it or not, it is, like Emma, his beliefs.

I don't think she did well. She cut him off and when he stated his opinion ignored it and asked the question again. Asked him what he thought on the crowd reaction and when he said he had worse reactions in boxing told him boxing and CBB are different which made no sense to me she also treated him like a child. People who lack the intelligence to debate shouldn't hold interviews.

I thought it was a poor interview. The show isn't meant to be about Emma, the fact we are talking about her means she has failed in her job. She's there as an interviewer to gather information from her subject for the benefit of people watching who want to know what that person has to say, not let the world know about her own beliefs.

It's like a football match, we are there to watch the game, not the referee, when the ref is anonymous, then he's done a good job. It was a really self indulgent performance from Emma tonight.

She was bl**dy awful as ever. She should question her fronting of a show that promotes such vile people anyway - but she and Rylan are happy to take the money.

Emma slayed him, it was glorious. She posed perfectly reasonable questions and gave him ample opportunity to explain himself. He couldn't because he's not articulate enough and his prejudice is irrational. This led to him being flustered and somehow thats Emma's fault? Ridiculous. She is Queen.
