Yes, but he was effectively screwed once they lobbed that hand grenade into the house. Likening gay adoption to 'child abuse' in a newspaper interview was always going to leave him back peddling in the house and trying to limit the damage.

It's pretty low too that BB pulled this stunt on the night of an eviction and when voting lines were open (and even then, he appears to have avoided finish bottom in the eviction vote).

I think that's what got to BB even more,.... the fact that Winston would've stayed if it continued like a normal eviction.
People chose to save him because he was controversial.
Tbh, i'm surprised Kristina "allegedly" got the most votes. Hmmm.

Did Michael Barrymore do that? I thought he waited for the Police to arrive and they couldn't or decided there was not enough evidence to charge anyone with foul play on the guy who was found dead in Barrymore's swimming pool.

What I also meant that they went easy on him was he came into the house first on the opneing night to big applause and I suspected it was a bit of a planted live crowd made up of the production crew, the audience wasn't that big on the opening night and then he got a very easy ride from BB in the house even though he was pretty contraversial and irritable with a lot of them in the house. I simply don't believe that he came second from the public votes either.

Yes, it would have been galling for them to admit that he wasn't the least popular HM in an eviction despite their blatant attempts to sabotage him. Hence them nobbling the entire eviction and coming up with a twist that made no sense whatsoever as a TV spectacle given that virtually everyone in the house was guaranteed to vote against Winston.

No he definitely drove off shortly after the body was discovered and certainly before the police arrived. That was always a big issue to the Luddock (or was it Lubbock?) family when they tried to take him through the courts. He's always accepted that he did that but maintained that it didn't amount to 'running away' - merely that he knew someone had already called an ambulance, there was nothing he could do to help and that he needed to get away from the hysteria of the moment to clear his head.

Stuart Lubbock was his name.

A link to some failures by the Police too. Some of the things listed are a bit graphic so posters should only click on the link if they don't mind that...

He was put in to be hated, hence the gay slur left in his entrance VT.

He failed to actually display homophobic behavior inside the house as BB wished him to for the controversy and so they could boot him. Hence forcing the matter by that task.

No it isn't, where does it say that?
The entire point of cbb is that people go into the house people already know about.
Yes BB put him in to have controversy, they know, we know and Winston knows.
He willingly went in, he knew what awaited him.

Emma must have known if his comments before he went in. Yet she showed no hostility in the opening night when she met him on his way in.

All of the incidents mentioned on the podiums happened outside the house.
The voting lines had closed before they showed that task.
I know he did make the comments but BB could have used another comment so as not to cause so much controversy. I mean there was never going to be issue over how many boob jobs Daniella has had.

But Emma was totally wrong, his comment about Gays adopting children had nothing to do with what happened in the house, this was said last year during the General Election.

Big Brother set Winston up with that impromptu task.

This is why BB only paid Winston 60K because they knew he wouldn't last & he was just a patsy for ratings and nothing more.”

That's for sure! The producers on BB have absolutely no morals, yet set HM's up whenever they think it'll generate publicity for the programme!

They did the same last year with Tila Tequila, she had made several comments in the past indicating she was a Nazi sympathiser, the producers made out they knew nothing of her past. Yet all the researcher had to do was look on the Wiki page - instead they claimed to have know nothing about her background. They either have real idiots researching potential HM's (which is very likely), or.........*drum roll*........they take the view any publicity is good publicity. I know the one I think it is!

They use HM's as cannon fodder, & to be fair, the HM's allow themselves to be used in this manner.

Regardless. It just proves what a vile piece pf scum thos guy is. His VT was bad enough. He has blown up an chance he has about going to mayor prnwhatever he was going for. Never should a homophobic/racist/sexist person ever be in such a position.

Several of the HMs said they were disgusted by his "comments" on gay adoption and this is why they were voting out of the house. But he never once discussed the issue in the house and seemed to be getting on fine with the gay housemates before BB forcibly brought it onto the agenda. If that's not blatant interference and manipulation by the producers, I don't know what it is.
