coming out in a fundamentally hostile anti-gay world requires a person to develop certain kinds of tricks and survival skills. and sometimes that can lead to an over compensated sense of "look at me".

similarly i imagine someone spending too long in the closet can also distort some individuals sense of self importance too sometimes

I actually met him just last Saturday (went to see a Panto he was in - though by the way it was not becaue he was in it !), seemed a geniune nice guy and not afraid to laugh at himself - which was lucky as he suffered a couple of unscripted mishaps (one where what should have been a fake blow between the legs was all to real lol and the other where where forgot his lines!)

I have no idea who he is or what he's done in the past, but aside from being a bit drippy he seems inoffensive enough so far.

Apparently he's a hated character, But I never watched The X Factor with him on it, and in CBB I have absolutely no problem with him.

I don't even know why he is hated. I know that there was something in The X Factor about him crying about his Nan which some believe was a means to get votes. But is that it?
Rylan cried a lot in The X Factor too from what I have learnt.

He seems okay enough to me in CBB and doesn't appear unpleasant or nasty to anybody in any way.

So far he seems completely harmless and pleasant enough. I can't see anything to dislike about him at the moment. He's had a bad press but time will tell I suppose.
