Looks like the Independent is a few years late to the game with this article:

To be fair though, the field test menu could do with some publicity as it seems to be very outdated. It doesn't seem to work properly, not always showing information correctly or at all, refreshing slowly, no support for Plus size iPhones etc. If Apple would update it, I'd be very happy.

I wonder if there's something better than the field test menu if you jailbreak your iPhone...

My Galaxy S6 used to have a service menu that showed me band information but it seems to have been removed in an update. My HTC M8 doesn't seem to have any way to show band information and my old Nexus 6 & Galaxy S4 didn't either.

My iPhone still shows me band info. I guess LG phones are the ones to get for a good range of service menus.

where abouts did you find band info on the iPhone?
