It wasn't 'clearly a performance', do you think he wasn't a bit upset about all that horrible nonsense?

He's a bit Ott, but so what, he's like that.

Calm down love and stop shouting - maybe then you'll understand my post. I was't talking about people on this forum judging.

No it relates to him being a drama queen. Erm no pun intended!

Why is that pathetic?”

He was upset because there was a camera right in front of him...he was pathetic.

Well it came across like that to me as well as other viewers
He's an old time CBB fan, he knows exactly how it works and how to get the most screen time ...again nowt to do with his sexuality
If any one of them had gone in and done that performance it would have had the same reaction....

IT looked like a performance to me, and if he's like that, ie an OTT performer then he is, but it's insincere, hammy, panto-ish and laughable.

In my view he deserves a mocking for being such a lovey.

Well in fairness a forum is where ideas and views on a particular issue can be exchanged.

I don't know whether to laugh or cry

I've never seen him act before so I can't compare it to his usual standard but, it was just ghastly

He can be, he IS a luvvie, he's a mid forties, gay, West End musical star ffsk, that doesn't mean he isn't upset or 'real' does it?

Or do you just find this sort of person laughable?

What on earth does that have to do with what I posted?

As soon as John nominated himself for the box I thought he could be a massive game player. Now he has convinced me - he is a massive game player.

He was in Eastenders...but I never saw him act in that either.

why is that amusing?”

Because it wasn't that long ago that people were wishing that gay people didnt exist!

To object to homophobic views is absolutely fine, but to want to eliminate people for having unpopular views is just bigoted. Which is the very thing he was objecting to.

I would just rather people learned to change their opinions, and it is a bit sad that Winston was evicted, because had he stayed in, I think his views might have changed.

I am really sorry to hear that your son is having a difficult time. It must be very frustrating for you both.

I see what you are saying, you're saying I dislike him because he's gay.

But you don't want to say it blatantly.

I've explained what I think about his performance and why, openly and honestly, no guarded comments, no underhand slurs.
Either say what you really think without fear , or stop making unfounded accusations.

I didn't read it like that at all. I don't think it's Winston or people like him that he wants to eliminate - simply the views that they hold.

No I'm not. I'm trying to understand why you think he's 'performing', when there are perfectly valid reasons to think he's not.

And why you leap to that conclusion with such eager disdain.

I am sure most of us would wish those views away if we could.

I have to say that I laughed at his awful ham over acting and also at his lack of awareness that he was now asking for what people used to ask about gay people.

I (and I think most of his detractors on here) are laughing at his hopeless insincerity and in my case , most definitely nothing to do with him being gay.

I prefer people such as Winston to be exposed, at least then you know what they think and you can use diplomacy to change their views.
We need tolerance.
It's not that I actually disagree with the essence of what John said, it's his delivery and awful acting that I object to.
Sitting there in his velvet gown, he reminded me of Mrs overall when she was being the actress behind the character (I wish I could remembered her name, beau somebody I think).

The reason I think he was performing was because he waited until he had a camera in front of him...John is a constant guest on BBBOTS and knows what he is doing.

Gay men the country over must be rolling their eyes and thinking that he's really not helping.”

Not really helping what? How is John representing the whole of the gay community?
Was Winston representing the whole of the black community?
