My observations:

Gemma amuses Johnathon, he doesn't like her.
Johnathon misses and needs the adoration of others - Gemma will do.
Johnathon will have a field day verbally destroying Gemma et al, in full bitch-mode, when back home with his real friends.
I bet he won't say the usual CBB line of, "you've got to come visit/stay with me in ------- when we get out of here and we'll have a great time." He knows she'll be buying her ticket on her phone during her interview with Emma... and will never leave.
He knows that subtlety is lost on her, so has been blunt about her hideous clothes, being fat and describing her level of fame as equating to her being a (joke) university pin-up!
His claustrophobia is directly related to her proximity to him and her presence in the house.
How awkward when, delirious with glee that he hadn't left and finally came out of the Diary Room, she (dangerously) flung herself upon him, easily enveloping his frame with a bear hug... and he didn't even try/bother to hug her back. Ouch.

I think Jonathan believes Gemma is 'bigger' in the industry than she actually is. I could be wrong and he genuinely likes her, but reading about his role on KUWTK, it seems he's another fame whore who likes the limelight.

I agree. I think he does like her and thinks that she is more famous than she is. I think that they are good together and hope that when he finds out shes not that famous doesn't drop her.

I think she has visions of hanging with Kim in LA. GC and Yeezy comparing their fashion lines while her and Kim have colonics and anal bleaching together. She's deluded.

She only gets close with Jonathan just to be one step closer to the Kardashians familly. She did the same thing with Kendra on I'm a celebrity get me out of here. She got close to her on the show and a couple months after, when Kendra was filming her US tv show in the uk, Gemma showed up and acted all friendly and invited her in her own shop, just to get some promo in the us.

Absolutely agree with this, and also with the OP.

Gemma, on the first night, also made a beeline for David Gest and was staring into his eyes adoringly after about ten minutes. It's no coincidence, IMO, that he and Jonathan are most probably the richest HMs in there and with the most celebrity connections.

What does Gemma actually do in the real world ?

She spend her time trying to keep her jeggings up and sticking her nose in other peoples business.
