First in the "I volunteer" absolutely made me feel like he wanted to present him self as an alpha male and get all eyes on him, he also butts in when he tells a story and refers to himself a lot. I have noticed if somebody has done something he has done it twice or on a grander scale. When John was asked to stand up and vice out the envelopes for the eviction he stood up himself and started wandering around. I think he is a bit of an attention seeker but we haven't seen the full extent of it yet.

In fairness he isn't half as bad as some of the housemates in there.

He'll be a waste of a HM, I think. Will do nothing and coast while pretending to be a nice guy.

I'm loving Darren. I always liked him and felt so disappointed and let down by him with all the love triangle/love rat stuff.

I'm hoping he can redeem himself - I think he's a nice guy.

In fairness I will as it he isn't the worst housemate at all in fact at this stage I think they are quite tame compared to other years. So far Stephanie has been the most annoying I don't exactly hate any of them though I have merely observed Darren's behaviour as the most odd. Aside from Angie, she is wacky as they come.

Not yet. Certainly not compared with almost all of the others.

Licking frogs is not very endearing.

Other way around for me. After disliking him for a number of years mainly over his treatment of women, I'm surprisingly really liking him on the show and ended up voting for him on the favourite housemate poll.

Same here.
Sometimes when the context changes in which you see them, they don't seem quite so bad. In this case there are far worse in there. Scotty makes him look like an absolute angel

Pretty much the same here, but there is time for him to revert to type. He is not annoying me yet but I would be surprised if I don't end up not liking him in the end

Yep it's very early days yet. Most are still on their best behaviour, masks yet to slip .... like he did when he was in IAC. But I do hope he has matured and grown up, finally.

Don't have too much of an opinion on his tbh. I don't really know why but he comes across a bit..pathetic and I can't help feeling sorry for him for some strange reason.

Never liked him. Anyone who reinvents themselves by dumbing down their natural accent to appear hip and cool has got to be an asshat

He doesn't sound any different to how I've always heard him

I remember liking him when he was in the jungle and him dealing with Tara Palmer Tomkinson (is that really 14 years ago?), and am still liking him in bb

He seems very calculated and in control of everything he says and does. Quite a boring man in his sobriety now.

I like him.

I also keep wondering when Gary Barlow went into the house.

Same here, think he has finally grown up. Hope if he ends up more in the public eye again that he stays as the doting husband and Father he has become.

I couldn't stand him in the Jungle
but liking him on CBB, I didn't think I would !
He comes across as very vulnerable on this show.

It may be because the younger ones are so awful that he's coming across well to me,

I prefer listening to David Gest, Angie and Darren than the younger lot,, whose voices are really grating, hard to listen to !

he had us all on tenterhooks tonight with that riveting story about Anna Friel and Robbie Williams, he really is a natural storyteller

He should try name dropping Cliff Richard a bit, see if that helps.
