Oooh, so Tess's husband isn't just a figment of her imagination after all?
Ha! Paddeh should start running........

Great news that it's Jonathan Wrather - he is rather gorgeous. I remember him having an affair with Karen McDonald in Corrie years ago. Think he was in Casualty too.

For older viewers that remember Albert Dingle (brother to Zak, father of Marlon), Bobby Knutt who played him is in the new series of Benidorm which starts this week.

As I remember he was very creepy.

Vanessa and Adam are both victims of Rakesh's irresponsible meddling. Yet Nessa treated him like a villain shouting at him to go away after he returned Johnny to her. Afterwards she did tell Rhona she sympathised with Adam but did not do the decent thing by telling Adam this.

No wonder Kate Oates turned Nessa into my ex-favourite character in Emmerdale.

I hope that it was just heat of the moment stuff and Vanessa will actually say something tomorrow or at least think about letting Adam spend time with him.

Yes I think it' s not really fair to judge Nessa for her reaction there. She' s a mum who thought her baby might have been taken away for good. I' d defy anyone to be rational in that situation. I'm sure she' ll come round and see how terrible it is for Adam.

I think it was the shows rather clumsy way of denoting that Vanessa had found her maternal instincts - especially as it was followed by Rhona's "lioness" line of dialogue.

True that was straight out of the Yummy Mumny' s dictionary Still, I think 90% of mums would have the same reaction in those circumstances. Poor Adam, he' s lucky she didn' t have a knife to hand

I'II be honest when Rhona said that I had no clue what she was on about until Nessa followed it up.

Oo, a new section. And I've got nothing interesting to say.

I thought Adam Thomas was really good this week. There you go.

I hope Laurel falls underneath a steamroller.

That's my contribution.

I still fancy Rakesh.
(Bringing down the tone since 2010).

He has been very good.
I felt really sad for Adam. He's done a great job.

The often-neglected P&P thread makes it to a new part!

I have to admit I hadn't been looking forward to the reveal about Kirin being the Dad - mainly because of Adam's reaction, I thought it would be the petulant schoolboy coming out again, but all credit to Adam Thomas I thought he did pretty well.

Not so keen on the Kirin/Rakesh scene though.

No.......it would've been so much better if Not18 didn't have to be in it.

I was surprised at how good Adam Thomas was - I'd never rated him until now. Perhaps it helps with him being a father himself. The story has been pretty enjoyable in my eyes, especially because it's been a long wait for the reveal.

Any Kirin scene was going to be the weakest of the story but I enjoyed how blunt Rakesh was - and the punch .

I suspect Rakesh may end up with a few more of those before the storyline's done - I can see Adam/Vanessa/Moira all lining one up for him

It didn't get any mention from the main threads - from what I saw anyway - but I wanted to say how good and moving I found the boy who plays little Arthur. It had been a bit April overkill at times so it was nice to see another young actor being able to carry emotional and quite heavy material during the Ashley plot.

It moved me anyway.

Agreed, he was excellent. Little Red-Cheeks is growing into his role very nicely.

I love him - have done ever since he was introduced - there's a kind of naturalness about him which some of the others don't have somehow.

Agreed. He is so underrated and I am so pleased they are using him more. Just so natural in front of the cameras.

That was so stupid and I'm so sick of Vanessa and that damn baby. this story has been tedious since the moment she found out she was pregnant. Hopefully Vanessa, will go back to being a background character where she belongs.
