What a flaming weird show ED is at the moment. We got that whip cracker of an episode the other night, when Cain almost bedded Charity. And then tonight's was just absolute rubbish - pure Hollyoaks. Moira behaving totally inconsistently like she's brain dead, Belle's weird double, Joanie being totally bizarre, the Nicola/Dan/Jimmy/Kerry stuff, Chas and Emma being bessie mates, and that totally crap cringefest memorial with the Surreal Sailors. It's like two different shows, and the people who made tonight's are just out of media studies school and off their head on drugs.
Did not make one lick of sense. |

Did not make one lick of sense. The stuff with the memorial and Barton brothers was poor. Belle's s hallucinations were better done the first time, when we didn't see them. |

With tomorrow being the anniversary of Ruby's death through the helicopter crash, I wonder whether this will be mentioned? It will be Val's anniversary shortly too.

A memorial service was held in one of this evening's episodes.
![]() I guess the pilot was not exactly flying high in terms of Emmerdale fame.

Thank you both for filling me in. As you will have gathered, I have lost interest in watching it these days.

I think there's a children's court as well isn't there?
If the CPS decide to prosecute Gabby, then she will appear before the Youth Court, which sits in camera. It is a court of first instance and, in an area like Yorkshire, is likely to be comprised of a bench of three Justices of the Peace qualified to sit in the Youth Court. Gabby could be dealt with by the Police without being taken to court, by way of a formal warning, or by way of a caution. If she comes before the Youth Court and pleads guilty, or is found guilty after a trial, then she will be convicted. The offence would probably be Breaking & Entering. As this is an imprisonable offence, at the top end, she would receive a Youth Referral Order for a period of time. As part of this order she would supervised by the Youth Offending Team and would be required to appear before the Youth Panel. The Youth Panel would require the offending youth, and parents if necessary, to agree a contract to address the offending behaviour. It could contain elements of reparation and restorative justice, amongst other things. The Youth Panel monitors the young offenders progreass and will return the youth to Court, if they do not hold to the contract. |

Analysis Centrals many questions about last nights epsiodes.
Sidebar (eary I know) when I started reading the daily thread and I was sad that I was on the side of Moira against thread favourite Cain And I was already weary after my battles supporting Gabby against everybody and didn't think I was up for the fight, by the time I had finished reading the thread though I had totally turned against moira and have no need to fight. Kwynne is on the side of the righteous for once, yayyyyyyyyy 1) What happened to the Pizza box James made a big point of bringing in, completely vanished the moment he brought it in the room, massive continuity error? Or just Stupidity? you decide 2) Why does Moira keep acting like she has never met Cain before? she kept acting like she didn't know what he was like when she married him. 3) Does sleeping on a couch after admitting kissing Charity worse than what Moira did. 4) In the manner of Emma why does james take such interest in Moira? in the most boring way possible of course. 5) How come when she is telling the truth, it always sounds like a lie when it comes out of Charity's mouth 6) What did Cain hope to achieve when chasing James. 7) Why are Cain and Moira always written so inconsistently? 8) Why was the memorial service so rubbish. 9) What were those Sailor suits all about. 10) And what the hell does the currently lovely looking Kerry see in Duller than Dan, his idea of fun is probably paintin a fence and watching it dry. 11) What does Nicola see in the Dull Dan 12) Then again what does Nicola see in Jimmy. 13) Why has nobody in her family noticed Belle is seriously mentally ill? 14) Why hasn't Bailey a Doctor Noticed. after all she's talking to herself all over the place. Very strange episode. Ways how to Kill Marlon part 12 Cain is driving so fast he doesn't notice marlon and he is sent flying into a field of Llamas who stomp him to death |

It was a bit of an odd episode last night.
The memorial stuff really just felt like the show felt that it needed to give it a nod given that it was a major event in the life of the community - but it came across as a half-hearted attempt (we should be doing this but we can't be bothered with it really). We'll just have Finn rambling on about Val We'll remind folks that Ruby was a boring character Oh - and we'll have Ross & Pete turn up dressed up as a couple of sailors without bothering to give any meaningful explanation for it. We'll make Joannie - this wonderful new woman that Zak dumped his wife of twenty years for - come across as the most unaware bitch in history by having her asking the daughter of the woman she stole the husband of to be her bridesmaid ![]() ![]() Oh yeah - and we'll have Cain sleeping over at Charity's - yeah, the woman he admitted to his wife that he'd been snogging the night before. The same ex-partner / mother of his kid, that he moved into the marital home with Moira a short time after he married her. Oh wait - we'll also chuck in more scenes of doolally Belle - a teenager with a history of recent mental health problems which her entire family are aware of, and who also happens to be sharing a room & bed with a doctor, but, of course, not a single one of them will consider the possibility that her "mental" health problems have returned. Oh wait, wait - what about throwing in some scenes of James - yeah, remember him, the character we brought in to be Moira's stalker, erm, I mean long lost lover - and who's only purpose has been for him to continue to moon over Moira (the love of his life) Yeah - that sounds great - we've not managed to come up with any other purpose for the character, so lets have him sniffing round Moira again. |

Ways how to Kill Marlon part 12 Cain is driving so fast he doesn't notice marlon and he is sent flying into a field of Llamas who stomp him to death 2 - I used to really love Moria, but she's just being so up herself lately 3 - Nope - if Chas hadn't stopped them the day before though, that would be a different matter. It's the natural place for him to end up - how many blokes given the choice would pay for a B&B rather than kip on their sister's sofa... 4 - I find James creepy - there I've said it! ![]() ![]() 5 - Because she tells the truth so seldom? 6 - Maybe he was hoping to run him into a herd of runaway Llamas... ![]() 7 - It's rubbish - they are 2 of the best characters and the writers should know how they would behave/re-act, but it's like they are completely different from one day to the next 8-9 - Travesty - this is where you need a village 'Elder Statesman' - like Alan Turner used to be ![]() ![]() 10-12 - No idea 13-14 See comment above - that's probably the most unbelievable of all the unbelievable goings on in ED at the minute, her boyfriend is a doctor fgs, surely he would notice something is amiss Ways to Kill Marlon - poor Llamas - imagine the mental distress caused to them! |

I can see exactly what Nicola and Kerry see in Not Dull Dan. He's lovely and I would happily be in a relationship with him as I like normal, not dull men with no dramas and no wondering what criminal act they're going to commit next. Cain would be great for a shag but that's it.

In Moira's warped mind it must 4. I thought Debbie had the magic box since she gets all the hot guys but clearly its Moira. James still wants her after sleeping together once over a quarter of a century ago. 6. Cain wanted to do what Tracy Barlow did to him ![]() 7. Good question 8. Because the plane crash and Kings River Explosion memorials are more importnant ![]() 10. IDK, and if Dan cheats on her with Nicola he is a stupid man. Kerry she go find her someone hot like Ross or Pete 11. IDK, the women on Emmerdale make little sense lately. 13. Cuz 90% of the Dingles have mental health issues. |
