I agree - it's softer and thinner and takes 5-10 years off her. Poor Chas looks like she's got a damask curtain hanging over her forehead. Worse still, even when the rest of her hair is mussed, curly, wavy or whatever, her thick fringe is always thick, solid and straight as a die.

So true, she really needs a stylists help, what with all of her red wrap shirts as well!

Do you like Nessa's new haircut with the fringe, MM? I love it personally - I think a fringe softens every woman's face nicely, (well, apart from Chas's obviously) - but I see a few Dailians are not keen on it.
Do people not like it? I think she looks lovely. She's lovely anyway, but it's a really good look for her. Foxy.

As somebody on another thread said recently, 'DS doesn't like change generally', (despite the fact that they spend most of their lives demanding it).

After the atrocity that was inflicted on Moira I'm surprised any of them would go near scissors ever again.

Analysis Of Aarondale Characters (incorporating Kate Oates final bash at getting Ratings and trying to get her favourite Character lots of awards whether deserved or not)

1) KO has attempted to change the name of the village and show to Aarondale after all she reasons 90% of the Show is about Aaron, people talking about Aaron or Gordon explaining himself, but ITV has yet to make up its mind on changing the name.

2) Aaron - first half of every episode these days must include Aaron telling his story of woe to Chas/Cain/Robert or the police , he must get sympathy because he cries, screws up his face adorably and his story sounds awful.

3) Gordon 2nd half of every episode these days must include Gordon denying Aaron's story to to Chas/Can/Robert or the police, and he shows what a right dick and a general horrible person he is. Episode ends with Gordon's increasingly elaborate excuses why he couldn't possibly have abused Aaron but obviously the viiewers know he did.

4) The episode must also widen the circle of those who know about Aaron to entrap them into the storyline to make sure even more of the show is about Aaron.

5) Vanessa and Kirin - Aaron hasn't been crowbarred into this storyline just yet but why would he want to what with Vanessa puking all over the place, thought she was pregnant at first and Kirin is priving to be totally immature and unready to be a father

6) Thanks Carly for telling us all that Leyla thinks Jai is great in bed

7)NIkhil shares his feeling on the matter with me

8) Molly is a cute darling

9) Jaycub is about to audition for the post of jolly green giant.

10 Leyla is a good character these days.

Excellent Analysis as always, kwynne. Lol at the Jolly Green Giant.

Yes, I think the familiar face must be The Fabulous One. I'm hoping for a damn good feud between her and SmotherMother.

I can't wait for these two to come face to face outside of the prison walls. It's going to be brilliant

Sorry but it won't be much of a feud, Psycho Mama Barton is not on the same level as the HBIC, Emma is light work for Charity

10 Leyla is a good character these days.
Brilliant analysis. And I LOVE Leyla! Her and Carly are my favourite female characters now. And Kerry. And Bernice. And Belle ... but I digress.

I forgot to mention this earlier but when people moan about the warning at the beginning about violence.

Well yesterday afternoon there was a warning on Channel 5 about people showing signs of temper.

I love her too at the minute - she's just blossomed over the last month or so. Carly is growing on me too. I've always been a Bernice fan and I also love Nicola.

Leyla and Carly have really filled the gap for me that Alicia left - I don't mean they're like her, just that they're likable and fun and believable, and I'm pretty sure they could both tackle something more serious given the chance.

Love Nicola as well, but I think they overplay the shrewish wife stuff with Jimmy - she's better when she's being a friend to Laurel or a sister to Bernice.

speaking of Nicola, what was with her going at Adam yesterday? After that heated exchange I could see them hooking up, then Kate Oates will have destroyed every couple on the show.

Leyla, Carly and Chrissie have managed to fill the void that Alicia left.

Certainly Alicia leaving left big shoes to fill and it has taken 3 characters to do it so...

I completely agree about Nicola, she's been pretty annoying since she's been back, except for those scenes with Laurel.

Yes - agree, in fact I think that's one of the things ED does best - the female friendships and sisters are always well done - Alicia/Leyla, Chas/Katie, Nicola/Laurel, Nicola/Bernice all work/worked really well - even Charity and Chas work well.

Yes, and Chrissie! Though she's less of the likable ordinary working woman and more of the Secretly Badass Queen of Home Farm. But I really like them all.

The Leyla/Carly/Vanessa friendship works well as well. I always like it when they have women house-sharing - it worked well with Katie (RIP) too.

BIB: Well, yes exactly. Some great female characters who don't need to be preggers or have an affair to get a story.

The female house share has always been great, whoever is involved.

Ok, that's it. I'm done with the Soaps forum.

DS allows certain users to mock and bitch about others where the victims can see with no chance of reply. Threads are being overrun with utter nonsense and juvenile rubbish.

It's a shame, because there are some truly lovely people on here who I enjoy talking to, but the atmosphere is not conductive to any form of decent discussion or conversation any more.
