He was! He hasn't had anything good to do for so so long, and he's been great.

No because I hate the merging of names.
So do I, I thought it was just me - glad to know it's not.

What does that mean?

she is in real life though
Insulting a cast member is against the rules and that comment may well be libellous.

Why can't they just be friends like they are now?
That's against DS rules too. Men can't have mates here. They have to be gay.

I've often moaned about that. It's childish, idiotic and lazy

I agree. I also think it's disrespectful, it's as if they're not individuals in their own right.

It's just as bad as referring to 'Coronation Street' as 'Corrie', Emmerdale' as 'Emmers' or 'Emmy', 'EastEnders' as 'Enders' and 'Hollyoaks' as 'Oaks'.

That was I thought a good scene between Moira and Jai - after the completely predictable and (I guess) understandable violence from Adam the quietness and calm of it was really well done.

I think Moira at least now that she knows what happened on Holly's last day may be able to be a bit more at peace with herself - she'll never stop blaming herself of course and Jai will probably do the same.

I actually find Chris Bisson is better when Jai is being nice/kind/sad than when he's being horrible - he seems to be able to get the character better - when he's being the baddie he sometimes tips over into caricature.

And I agree about the merging of names - would anyone do this in real life.....?

I agree about Jai.

This death of Holly storyline is really bringing the best out of many.

I thought that Chris Bisson was very good playing Jai, last night. I really did believe Jai's account, and so did Moira.

It is indeed bringing out the best. Natalie J Robb has been fabulous and that seems to be pulling others around her up with her.

I have to confess also to liking the developing friendship between Pete and Leyla. He is so not her normal type, but maybe she's finally growing up a bit and realising the important things in life.

The one slightly odd thing for me has been the disappearance of Chas. She is supposed to be Moira's friend and would be supporting her and also must know how conflicted Cain will be at the minute. Surely she wouldn't have gone to visit Belle at such a crucial time for both of them.... I know Belle needs visiting and Lisa needs support, but sometimes situations develop and you have to change your plans?

Yes, the absence of Chas is odd, as is the absence of Aaron. Aaron came home from France to support Adam, gave him a hug, ate the casserole and then went missing in action. I suppose that it's the exigencies of filming elsewhere.

Analysis of Emmerdale Characters

1) Jai - really good performance by the actor and I don't get to say that about him very often so well done. It would have been better for Jai to admit that he was with Holly. Of course he felt very guilty that he left Holly to her fate, but I believe the advice given to addicts if they find themselves in a place exposed to temptation is to get away from it as soon as possible so he did the right thing by leaving the party, of course that would also be the argument that he shouldn't be with Holly or going to weddings where he would be alone in the first place. It was Jai's misfortune that Pete had just told the Bartons about him and Holly.

2) Pete part 1 by the way didn't Pete say he was going to wait until Leyla told them about Jai?

3) Moira - Accepted what Jai said about leaving Holly and has realised she may never really know what happened to her. The stuff about her and Adam blaming each other is fairly realistic since that happens in real families as well

Sidebar
Isn't it nice to praise really good acting rather than scoff at bad comedy so refreshing.

4)Adam - bit over the top with the violence and aggression but fairly good and realistic portrayal of Brother whose sister has just did.

5) Charity - getting it in the neck from all directions and now Debbie is leaving, defeated again by Victoria patronised by the Moron and now she has to tell Cain his daughter isn't coming back.

6) Zak gave sensible advice this episode

7) Never thought i'd say this but Moron was also sensible trying to arrange a peace between Charity and Victoria

8) Victoria - once again a star of the episode, the last thing she needed currently was Charity in her face.

9) Pete part 2 wherre is he going to take Leyla that's fun and does he even know what fun is.

10) Leyla find someone fun to have fun with

11) Shut up Paddy

12) Pearl and Nessa - heh

Ways how to kill Paddy No.33

Pierce creeps upto Paddy, drugs him and feeds him to the Dingle pigs, the pigs all die of food poisoning.

That would be very much out of character, especially in relation to Adam!

If you ask me, the involvement of Chas when Holly was found was very forced. Like there just had to be a Dingle there. The absence of all the extended Barton's is more odd than Chas going to visit Belle.

Well, you're just prejudiced because you have a pathological hatred of the character. That is your right of course, I'm not disputing that!

When will they, will they be famous? (Again).

... that's it. I've exhausted my retained knowledge of Bros songs, but bless them, why not?

1 - Yep

2 - He did, but they were tearing lumps out of each other, so he probably thought he couldn't make things any worse

3 - I liked that scene and absolutely agree with the sidebar - I'd far rather praise good acting

4 - Yes - his behaviour was both in character and understandable

5 - Charity isn't having a good time at the minute

6 - He did - in his role as Elder Statesman

7 - He was just for once

8 - I'm loving Tiger Wife/Daughter-in-law Victoria

9 - Cruel but probably true

10 - I'm actually quite enjoying her and Pete actually

11 - Why should he - it gives Pierce the opportunity to ruin him even more

12 - Not surprised at Nessa, but Pearl is being a bit of a hypocrite considering how much Paddy has fought her corner in the past.
