I don't think interaction with Holly is necessary for them to show support for their Auntie Moira after her daughter died. Ross is actually helping out on the farm and he knows that Moira & James has slept together more recently. I don't think it is out of the question that they could take it a step further.
I get perhaps Pete might feel a little awkward after their kiss but he seemed fine when he went round in last nights episode. He's also been round the farm helping out.
Even if they didn't go round but we saw a bit of their feelings on a family members death - you'd think Emma might comment on it, whether she be saying something nice or nasty.
The most notable absence for me is Finn anyway, who we have seen neither hide nor hair of. The nicest character in the village has absolutely nothing to offer in the way of condolences to his Aunt. I don't buy it.
