Oh yeah, but there's s a difference between offering condolences, going to the funeral etc and being amongst the people who are there supporting and comforting the grieving person. That's s a job for close family members and good friends, such as Diane ( where is she?) - eg when my second cousin's s husband died, I went to the funeral, gave my ' auntie' a hug, but that was the limit of my involvement because she has a son and daughter in law who she's s close to Times like that are for the people who you WANT around you, not the extended family, unless you're close to them.

I liked the original Barton set up - John, Moira, and the kids. Pete, James and Ross do nothing for me. Emma had potential but she's s just been portrayed as two conflicting extremes, with nothing in between. Finn is nice, but he's s treated like a background character. I see Moira very much in t he future Annie Sugden matriarchal mode though.
bib1 - And where is Chas?
bib2 - Yep - I can see this too

Chas is ' visiting Belle' - either Lucy Pargeter' s on holiday or filming elsewhere I guess

1 - The writing in this storyline has been very poor - they don't seem to know whether to play it for comedy (ie car won't start/nowhere to park) or seriously and it's therefore coming over as neither

2 - Or, get the writers to writer her properly, then they work ok together

3 - I like Amelia and her scenes with Kerry are usually nice

4 - Debbie clearly learned the art of child-dumping from the mistress (although at least Debbie took hers with her when she went to France)

5 - I'm liking Chrissie again at the minute

6 - Suddenly he seems to be getting much worse - whether that's because they have been off-screen for a couple of weeks? It's like when you know somebody who is ill/on a diet and you don't see them for ages, the change is much more noticeable

7 -

8 - You and I will never agree with Doug - he's a bit like Brenda, needs to be there sometimes in the background to pad scenes out

9 - Yep, I nearly yelled at the telly last night - but hopefully all will be sorted in 3 weeks

10 - Hmmm - I wonder

11 - Because she is trying to be the new Betty - but will never be fit to fill her shoes, but again she serves a purpose like Doug does

PS - had to respectfully remove some of your cross faces because I had too many images
3) I like Amelia as well, but she seemed so different I was wondering if they had changed actresses, she is according to IMDB, and I was surprised to see the actress is 13

6) I think your entirely right about Ashley

8) Don't get the Doug love

I often remove Smilies without mentioning it to fit mine in, am I supposed to, have a broke a rule of curtesy? Eek

I wouldn't worry about it - probably just me being paraniod!

With Doug - I can see why people get annoyed at him - he is basically just replaying Stan from Dinnerladies a lot of the time - but I was always very fond of Dinnerladies, so maybe that's why I cut him some slack!

I know she is - but it just seems very odd timing - in that she was there with Moira when Holly was found and took over and dealt with the phonecall to the emergency services but since then has been missing in action - at a time when both her friend and her brother could probably have done with her support...

Ah well - that's soaps for you

Yes but the dingles have had at least one family member staying with Lisa who is close to where Belle is at all times since she went into care, obviously it was Chas's turn.

She had a year with barely any breaks when Diane was off though. Maybe she needed some time or is off sick or working on other scenes.

She does seem to have been away quite a lot now you mention it. Not that I'm complaining.

Must be about time for her latest "big romance with totally unsuitable man" sl though - she's been single and man-free since Gordon hasn't she? Is this a record for the Needy One?

Analysis of Emmerdale Characters

Besides the episode being stunk out by the terrible duo Dull Dan and Vile Kerry the episode wasn't too bad. I had difficulties remembering the episodes because I was too busy trying to keep up with reading the Daily thread

1) keruuuggh what a stupid vile woman she is. I will list her many stupdid things she did last night
A) if you are borrowing a car and you don't want your partner to know your going an abortion clinic Don't borrow a car from where he works and dump it outside the front door of the abortion clinic so he will see it when collecting the car.
B) Worst and most vile habit of her was her smoking an E Clgarette IN THE EFFING CLINIC, those thing a disdusting stinky and smokey outsoors inside and on Buses they should be BANNNEDDDDD, KWYNNE LOATHES those things, even most smokers think twice about blowing their smoke in your face, No E Puffers they positively revel in blowing smoke right at you HATE HATE HATE
C) Kerry you have had sex with Dan a million times before and since Dross how the hell do you think its not Dan's Sheesh.
D) Why the sudden caring what Dan thinks anyway?

2) Dull dan - dump the vile bitch

4) Charity - People claim Debbie is a bad mother letting others looks after her children all the time, well thats nothing compared to Charity who is planning on dumping Moses permanantly and leaving Noah behind for months

5) Chrissie - not a patient boss is she.

6Ashley what's the betting ashley forget about Dottie and leaves her somewhere at some point.

7) its a miracle the writers have finally remembered that Laurel even had Dottie and that Laurel still exists

9Cain and Moira - Oi you two you love each other really get back together and we can stop this madness.

10) And do we think something big will happen in the next 3 weeks to stop Charity and Cain leaving?

11) Why on earth is the dreadful Brenda so keen to spread gossip.
1. Kerry was pretty bad in this episode. I was glad though everything came out (minus Ross) so this story should be over and done with now. #thankYouJesus

2. LOL you are harsh

4. Well Debbie learned it from her mama

5. Chrissie won't even remember she owns the garage in a few months. I'm still wondering why Resting bitch face sold the garage and house to Chrissie.

7. its almost certain.

9. Yes

10. Yes, a disaster and/or the return of Debbie

11. Cuz Wendy has nothing better to do and where is Bob? We rarely see him theses days

But given what had happened surely somebody else could have gone instead of Chas - it's just lack of forethought on the producers part really - they should have made sure she wasn't going to be off in the immediate aftermath...

Almost certainly - although she does seem to have been doing ok without a man - I didn't know whether she was going to get set up with the policeman who was there during Gordon's trial - didn't they go out for a drink?

He seemed attractive, nice, honest and unlikely to ever try and kill her. Chas was immediately repelled and swore to have nothing more to do with him

LMAO!!! But seriously at this point with Kerry and Tracy being shoved to the front as lead heroines I'm welcoming Resting Bitch Face's return.

Yes, Debbie lacks the HBIC's thirst for money and power

You do have a point there - every cloud has a silver lining and all that....

And yes, she may be a lot of things, but power and money grabbing she isn't..

Maybe that was MacLeod or Ex-Hollyaoks (as Kwynne likes to call him) plan all along. shove B list characters to the front and make them so unlikable that all the Debbie haters will be wishing she was on the show front and center.

What smoke??????
What comes from e cigarettes is water vapour. This is why many hospitals allow them on wards and NHS England are wanting them to be available on prescription. If you're getting a smell it's not the cigarette, it's either the vaper or yourself.
Do you object to boiling kettles too?

I stay out of the way of the spout of a boiling Kettle

And blowing smoke or any kind of Vapour over someone is just plain rude, fI I had they would be standing outside with smokers since I see no difference.
