I didn't think so, I remember her being pissed as hell about it and then he left. TBH it was kind of weird. I thought Dan's brother was going to be a major character, they were building him up to be a villain then he just left after a couple of episodes.

No. Dan's brother Daz kissed Kerry on the hen do night. Kerry did not sleep with him, and she was married to someone else entirely.

Such a stupid storyline - I quite forgot how bad some of Kate Oates's bizarre imaginings were.

Just some more wedding drama, in the stampede of weddings in Emmerdale that year. Getting married is suddenly a huge deal and something that characters just decide to do on a whim.

That was the only way Kate Oates managed to stir up short term drama - oh and babies of course.

Oh ok. I remembered him and Dan having a big falling out over something tbh I' d forgotten all about her being married until Dan mentioned it a few weeks ago! Now I'm racking my brains and thinking it was a drunken quickie wedding in Vegas or somewhere!
Somewhere that didn't require paperwork to be filed and banns published!

LOL don't forget about affairs

It is funny how the characters seem to plan these huge weddings in a matter of days. It takes most people almost a year to plan your average wedding. Then what about the cost? Kerry and Dan already had one big wedding and now they are planning another. IDK how much weddings cost in the UK but here the can get pretty expensive, last year one of my friend's got married and his in-laws gave him and his wife 20k towards the wedding and it wasn't enough and when one of my cousins got married a few years ago his wedding was almost 100k.

Jeez!! That's over £50000 I think! My sister did hers cheaply but it was a very small registry office wedding with just a meal afterward, as they' d lived together for fifteen years already. A friend of mine did the same - immediate family only, registry office, meal. I think that makes a lot more sense.

Yeah I think it does make sense to go smaller like that. Now my cousin's nearly 100k wedding was pretty fancy. They had the reception at the science center downtown and had all the exhibits open for the wedding guests to use. So I think most of the cost went there, but hat seems to be the direction most people are going in now having the wedding at an unusual venue, one of my brother's friends had her wedding and reception at the Natural History Museum which had to be pricey too.

That's exactly it, a drunken quickie wedding in Vegas.
And it just so happens that the guy she married had been looking for her ever since and showed up on her new wedding day!

It's not something that Dan can hold over Kerry and he shouldn't.

Somehow, I did manage to
I'm still trying to sear them from my brain, not one of the affairs has been handled the right way. They were literally all terrible.

I cannot imagine spending that much money on one day - who wants to start the first day of the beginning of their lives together under a cloud of debt? Even with the wedding planners in town, people don't get married 6 months after an engagement. I know people who were engaged for 8 years before getting married.
I don't see the rush, except where David was concerned since he thought he was going to die. But all the artificial drama created specifically for weddings now spoils my enjoyment of them.

Tracy had a friggin' frog up her dress!!!

Anyway, I'd quite like for one wedding to go without a hitch, just for once.

I know, why can't t they just have a nice ceremony? If you like the characters that, and the ' do' are entertainment enough. I like that they still have characters holding their stags and hens locally and not shooting off to Amsterdam or wherever for a long weekend!

Well I thought Robron started out good but it just got ridiculous with Robert trying to kill Aaron's loved ones and Aaron still wanting him.

As fro the weddings I agree with you. Funny enough though the people I know that had the big expensive weddings had their parents pay for it. My cousin told me he had no idea that his in-laws spent that much until a year after the wedding. He said if he had known that he'd have told them to give him the money so he could pay off his mortgage

I agree, it's annoying. Where I work people who smoke E cigarettes have to smoke outside with the people who smoke normal cigarettes. Also people aren't allowed to smoke E cigarettes on the buses in my area.

Wasn't watching then but this just tickled me

I think its more likely that she was filming something else as the Holly aftermath unfolded, rather than being off (like, I'm presuming, Aaron/Danny was)

That really would be a soap first!!!!!

Well last night's episode explained the absence of the extended Bartons in the wake of Holly's death - Emma and James were away!
I had totally forgotten.

I'm still a little disappointed with Finn not being there however, I miss him being on screen.

It really would, but just imagine, the wedding going smoothly while the drama slowly unfolded elsewhere within a different group of people. Could actually be interesting - most characters haven't been present at every wedding as it is anyway.

so what's their excuse for Hannah not coming to see her Brother and mother yet?

She's doing charity work abroad. No doubt under contract, and can't get home.

and yet I bet the actress would have come back to film the funeral, if asked

Probably, since it's not like anyone else is hiring her.
Nobody wants to pay someone to come and act the part of a talking extra for a couple of episodes and that's what it comes down to, though the excuse given is totally acceptable.

Personally I would prefer for a little return for her in the future, perhaps in a few months a return could work - though I would prefer a recast, since the original actress wasn't much cop.

She might have been asked and said no.

Surely they must allow for bereavement in the immediate family? Still I guess they don't pay air fares?

So what was that 3 weeks of utter comedy madness about then, because despite what some would say it wasn't terrible before that and its been great since

So is Ex Hollyoaks the right one for the job afterall did I get him wrong?
