Aww, just saw a clip on GMB of the Christening next week and it brought a tear to my eye. Poor lovely Ashley.

They interviewed John M and Zoe Henry - my, Zoe really does have strange taste in clothes. A pale pink jacket with some sort of fussy yellow and orange and shiny silver collar?

(Yes, 'Hark at Gok Wan' I hear you all scoff).

Why was there no helpline for anyone traumatised by the cat's death?

Bonkers Emma was terrific but least said about James acting the better.

Can at Holly"s grave was good too.

Isn't she really pointing out that she thinks he's not really gay and she available when he decides he isn't?

Scenes are a bit odd when you have a great actress and the shows worst actor yes even worse than Danny Miller involved in it.

Cats own fault for eating food it shouldn't

Gillian is really acting well in this storyline and making it believable. I actually still feel some sympathy for her even though she is getting crazier by the episode.

Knobert looks like a bored housewife, stuck in a perpetual cycle of dull living, dreaming the days away but ultimately resigned to his fate. You can almost see his mind thinking 'what the hell have I done?'. He probably wishes he'd owned up to killing Katie now, he'd have got a shorter sentence and better terms!!

We must be watching different shows . Robert seems very happy in his life to me, and very happily engaged with his current plotting and scheming too .

Robert & Rebecca clearly have history, and not just platonic history either. But the current focus of their activities is Chrissie, Lachlan & Lawrence. I don't think that they'll be leaping into bed together.

That too. She's a naughty girl, that Posh Bex, but I quite like her.

It's always dangerous critcising actors, unless the faults are egregious, especially those operating under the production pressures and constraints of a soap. What we see on the screen is the tip of the iceberg and all critcism is, to a significant extent, subjective.

I have to say that, in my judgement, I don't find Bill Ward's portrayal of James to be bad and Danny Miller is consistently good. By that I mean that, for me, I do not find that the actor gets between me and the character, and I find the character wholly believeable. That does not mean, necessarily, that I find the character sympathetic, or the storyline enjoyable. Those are separate issues.

Cats and dogs eat whatever edible items they find, as, indeed, do all wild animals. What the cat did was entirely natural behaviour, and so entirely blameless on its part! The only one to blame was Emma, the poisoner

Yes. It's because bisexual doesn't exist in the world of TV, for some reason.

I'm not convinced it exists in the world of Knobert either. It certainly didn't until he came back with a new head

Analysis of Emmerdale Characters shortish version

An epsiode both very good and very bad usually in the very same scenes.

1) Holly's funeral don't much hold with new age funerals and wicker backets but this one seemed nice enough

2) Death trap farm feature a whole forest full of wood known as James so bad he was good he was terrible, worst actor possible even worse than Aaron

3) Emma was great and creepy and funny but had to work hard to cover for the Forest

4) The Cat - poor cat even Emma felt sorry for him

5) Victoria new hair - reverted to her original colour and looked a million times better for it.

6) Rebecca - good character but did she think she was getting the upper hand with Robert, has slept with him in the past poor taste

7) Robert dear Bex would be much better than Aaron

8) Aaron face hilariously disappointed when he realised Robert doesn't want to marry him

9) Why did Priya stop Rakesh going to the police, thats right Jai phone him that idiot should be in prison.

Weekly Bulletin of the Malt Shovel

Yesterday was a tail of 2 funerals, the first was poor Holly Barton who had a priivate humanist funeral at Butlers farm. Meanwhile their was chaos in the village when the malt turned out for 100 year old long term Punter Charles Twain who was much loved around the civilised end of the village. however as the funeral started a swarm of wasp descended on the church and mourners had to flee, the church is now closed until fumigation, odd for the time of year, Mr Twain was rescued and given a hurrid buriel in the church yard

Its the Autumn fayre this week at the Malt this week all are welcome

Hahahahahaha!

My friend calls him The Wardrobe.

Aw, I don't want to be mean, he wasn't bad at all in the creepy scenes where he was starting to realise something was really dodgy about Emma. But oh my GOD that fall! Timber!!!

I was quite surprised at the amount of criticism Bill Ward got last night! I thought he was good- he seemed to be genuinely in agony!

No doubt one of the assistant directors was squeezing his nether bits to get his face to move with the appropriate look of agony

Yeah, I was wincing for him too. The whole scenario might have been laughable but I thought he did the best anyone could be expected to do given the material.

I'm failing to understand why this show has split so many great couples and yet kept the uncharismatic, chemistry void pairing that is knobert and Waaaaaron? It makes no sense.

1. Can you even call that a funeral? All they did was say a few words at the grave site. And why was Diane there? They said it was family only.

2. James was ok and don't you dare insult the great Danny Miller he is the best actor on Emmerdale.

3. Yes she was.

4. That was hilarious

5. Agreed she looked a million times better. Expect Carly to reveal a similar new hair color in a few weeks.

6. I'm not sold on Rebecca she is kind of weird and the actress needs vocal lessons.

7. Please, Rebecca isn't even that attractive, Chrissie is better looking than her. And Aaron is so sexy, Robert should only leave Aaron if he can seduce Ross or Pete.

8. You just love hating on Aaron.

9. Because she is a dumb bitch.

Also I noticed something that would go in the Emmerdale SOR thread if there was one. Laclhlan and Rebecca were going to play Uncharted 4 togehter, that is a one player game as most games on PS4 are and its not very violent, you do shoot and punch people but compared to a lot of other games its pretty tame.

I love the Wasps idea. I think that can be the next big stunt, at the Robron wedding there could be an attack of wasps infected with a killer virus and the village will have to be quarantined.

The funeral is similar to the one my grandfather had apart from my grandfather's coffin being wooden. He wasn't religious or anything so it was just a short one like Holly's. I don't actually want a funeral at all - just want to be disposed of quietly without any fuss.

What's funny about a cat dying?

He seems like a man resigned to his fate and is making the best of it. I bet he's longing to shove Waaaron several storeys through the floor like he did Katie so he can be free, freeeeeee, FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!! Then he can celebrate by nailing Chrissie's younger but older looking inaudible sister.
