In my real 31k post
Analysis of Emmerdale Characters. Warning Kwynne's Analysis may not last much longer as Kwynne only watches programmes he like and he positively despises Aarondale at present Also bear in mind that I fast Forwarded any scenes with Wife of Paddy and Aaron last night so may have missed some subtle nuances, yeh right as if Emmerdale would have Subtle Nuances 1) Sister of Aaron like her hope she stays and Aaron leaves. 2) Wife of Paddy - yes nepotism rules in Emmerdale, a somewhat unpleasant person who was abused herself so seems in denial about about Aaron. Gordon sound like such a lovely man doesn't he, maybe I should make constant admiration posts about him like the Corrie people do about Phelan because that sort of thing is al good fun apparantly. 3) Aaron - Ffjfufurtg poggjh ghit chhhittttih hgooofuy fhfhggk oooggiiuy ii uio poiuy fgiitth hfkfghrk fjfjfjfj iuyt werewofggh hguit juyte poubhfgrt hgiryrbfh ouiuygbhdf hytfdei Comments about Aaaron written in code because it would have got me in terrible trouble otherwise. Meanwhile I will say one thing I don't believe for one minute Aaron uses tearsticks. 4) Robert supportive but I did laugh when sister of Aaron knned him. 5) Cain get you act together 6) Mother of Aaron - shut up you vile woman its all your fault. 7) Jayyycuub - Have we just met the first honest soap child. 8) Gabby - NuGabby has more acting ability in her little finger than OldGabby, she actually seems to like Jayyycccuuubb. 9) Lachlan - still nasty 10) David -shut up David. 11) Bernice - rumbled Chrissie plan to set her up with Andy instantly 12) Andy very understanding of both Chrissie and bernice and if he's not shagging Chrissie by the time the fortnights out I will be very suprised. 13) Chrissie - seems to like Andy and cares what he think. 14) Loopy Laurel - idiotically thought Moron doing her wedding thing was a good thing. 15) Moron - saved by Victoria. 16) Victoria isn't she nice. |

weekly Bulletin of the Malt Shovel.
It was the funeral of Tess Harper this week in Robblesfield she will be much missed Police are still loooking for her killer Kirin Another scene was caused in the woolpack by the ever volatile Chas Dingle this week when she blurted out to the entire pub that her ex husband Gordon had sexually abused her son Aaron, police are investigating. There has been a massive upsurge in poaching in the Emmerdale areas according to local farmers and Gamekeeper of Home Farm Sam Dingle who is on full alert. Appointed at homefarm as assistant gamekeeper is Andy Sugden. The Malt beat the Rotten Apple inn 10-0 at football on staurday, Rupert Giles Jr scored 6 goals. |

Where are soaps very obsessed with gay male couples? The female representations are bloomin' awful.

Straight females and Gay men are the target audience of soaps, apparently. They get to kill 2 birds with one stone. |

Yeah, I don't get it either. Considering gay people, statistically speaking, make up a very small percentage of the population to start with, and surely more women in general watch soaps than men, if they want to cater to the greatest number of gay viewers why not appeal to lesbians at least equally as to gay males?
![]() Lesbian couples could do with being better written, though. I actually liked Ali and Ruby and found them believable - not in a sexy way, but in a believable couple way. But I know I'm in a bit of a minority there. |

And a lot of those women like watching two cute young fellas get it on. Simple as that, really. Soap producers have got more and more canny over playing to that audience, so it's more overt now.

Do they? It must be a British thing because American women do not find to guys kissing to be hot.
But even as a young'un it certainly wouldn't have excited me in any way and I'm not convinced straight women find it particularly interesting to watch these days either. After all, how many gay guys are turned on by seeing a straight couple make out? Not many I'd wager so why should the reverse be any different?

I don't think they find it hot, I think they find it cute. For generations, British men were encouraged to "be a Man" " don't cry" "and not to express their emotions" etc...that's changed now and modern guys are more expressive. Women like the more modern man, who can be manly but also emotional. I think that's why so many women adore Robron ( as well as many gay guys too)

That's really interesting I'd say its very different here especially within the African American community where homosexuality is still a sore subject. Men are expected to act like men and women do not want to see two guys kissing on tv. So many people were upset with gay sex scenes they had on Empire. ) ,mostly the ones who hold religious views , or older people- but most people are broadminded and accepting of both race and sexuality, and the young generation seem not to be phased or have an issue with anything, really. That's all to the good
