Given how good and loving Adam was with baby Jonny, and how supportive of him Victoria was too, this whole Victoria wants a baby and Adam doesn't story seems totally out of character.
Good point. He was devoted to Johnny! I hope this isn't going to turn into another stupid affair. I wondered if perhaps Victoria has a problem, which might have resulted in her missing a period? Dealing with infertility, although hardly original, would be a much better story. We could even see them struggling with IVF or adoption.

You're quite right. That would be a very good way to go. Of late, we've had enough affairs to last for a good few years! I'm quite affaired out, I have to say.

I missed the second so I didn't see it, but I've always found Adam and Victoria extremely dull together. They need a Ross shaped bomb to come right between them and cause havoc.
I've always found them really dull as well! But they were really sweet tonight, I honestly warmed to them together. More nice writing and acting.

Makes the threat from snarky Ross more real as well, when you actually feel like something is at stake.

But it's not a feud is it? A feud implies that both sides hold a grudge. It's just Dross doing his best to destroy the happiness of others. He's nothing but loathsome vile lowlife who cares for no one but himself.

There's no accounting for taste.....
As you adore Surly Serf Aaron, you might have a point.

I think that 'adore' is taking it a bit far. I like Aaron, that's enough!

I'd be disappointed if the Ross/Vic thing lead to something more, but the fact that Adam and Victoira want to try for a baby is always a hint that she'll end up pregnant by the wrong guy. But then again, the scenes were very plot devicey (they had no interaction before that and Victoria made it clear she didn't want it) so they could just have used the scenes to kickstart and infertility storyline for Vic and Adam.

Ross would be boring fathering children left right and centre. Have him focus on the kid he's already got and develop the storyline about his grief over James.

There's a difference between wanting a baby and being a loving and devoted parent when an unplanned one happens.

I think that is wear this is going. Storylines were couples try for baby usually lead to something going wrong, either infertility, miscarriage or post natal depression. Although, maybe Emmerdale is going to completely surprise us and have a planned, smooth pregnancy SL

How idiotic of Jimmy to take 'Nico' along to a bonfire just months after she almost burnt to death.

Bob was just trying to help out his long lost daughter. Had Wendy been willing to help Carly the young entrepreneur Bob wouldn't have had to go behind her back. So its still her fault in the end.
Mark it's irrelevant as to what the reasons were. It was fraud.

I hope they don't go there - they already did who's the daddy with Vanessa, and it's very cheesy. Some of the storylines on ED have been better than that recently, so hopefully they'll surprise us a bit.

I like the story so far. I find it quite believable that Adam has doubts about having a baby. They both witnessed the drama surrounding Johnny's first weeks, that must be highly traumatising for anyone. It makes sense that you'd be worried about having to go through something similar again.

I really hope it doesn't turn into the nth "who's the daddy" storyline, especially since both Ross and Adam were involved last year. I would be brilliant if there was a normal, planned pregnancy and birth at full term for a change, but I guess it's highly unlikely.

I thought the Adam and Victoria stuff tonight was lovely. I must be going absolutely soft.

Nice to see they've remembered that Finn and Vic are close mates as well.

More really nice writing, enjoyed it.
Shock of Shocks

Someone is planning a pregnancy that never happens in soap, its always a surpise.

Of course this means she won't be able to get pregnant and one of them is infertile. And it will break them up.

Well here it is my 38,000th post isn't that nice

Analysis of Emmerdale Characters

1) Amazingly for the first time in many years Victoria has an actual storyline rather than being somebody else's sidekick. And what a brilliant job isobel did this episode she was the Star of the episode, now she isn't pregnant she is desperate to be so.

Notable thing No.1 A planned pregnancy - those never happen in soaps all pregnancies are a total surprise, which of course mean they will find it impossible to get pregnant and one of them no doubt Victoria with her missed period will be infertile.

2) Even Adam amazingly wasn't too bad with the acting this episode, bit of an about turn on his not wanting children though after his enormous fuss over Johnny

Notable thing No.2 Even with Holly and james Dying and his mother in turmoil doesn't seem to have put a dampener of Vic and Adams sex life.

3) Dross really living upto his name annoying the world, Donald Trump is more popular in Emmerdale than him

4) Finn you idiot why did you immediately go and confront Dross after Vic told you not to. Still he seems to have superpowers because he is working on the farm, answering the Taxi phone and driving people around and visiting Coma man.

5) Aaron - not he didn't make any attempt to stop the fight. Non misery Aaron really is almost as dull and boring as Dull Dan isn't he.

6) Diane - Some mother figure to Vic she is, too busy fighting Lawrence to give a crap about her "daughter" and what was the point of smashing that window you deluded bint, especially as they told you the might evict you.

7) Shut up Doug you prat even if you were slightly sensible this episode, although you should have stopped Diane's protest earlier

8) Poor Lawrence what with his warring family he has idiot protestors outside the door.

9) lachlan as thuggish as ever

10) Chrissie not very forgiving is she, and she looked like she couldn't wait to start the evictions

11) Rebecca and Robert still in league

12) Rakesh was funny in that work hat

13) Kerry being as Vile as ever and getting on with sweet mogul

14) Zak wanting Belle to keep his secrets again, Zak dear thats how Belle's in such a mess as it is.

15) Belle is obviously on mood/Emotion suppressants to manage her voices, still she was good with Amelia and Kyle

14) Joanie - Just shut up

Ways how to Kill Joanie Part 2

The Machine at the factory which chops up the sweets into small chunks gets stuck, Joanie tries to fix it and it starts working and chops her into many pieces, rakesh is so inobservant he doesn't notice he's putting bits of Joanie into boxes instead of sweets.

1. This might shock you but I think Isabelle Hodgins was actually good in her scenes yesterday. I thin the writers found a story that fit her capabilities cuz she isn't the worst actress but she can't pull off the emotional stuff like Danny Miller or Charlotte Bellamy.

2. Adam was good too, IDK why you slag him off, he is decent, not as good as his brother Ryan though.

3. Look, don't compare Ross to that asshole, that man is Scum. I wouldn't even compare Debbie, Wendy, Doug or Jai to Trump.

4. He does look like Clark Kent

5. Maybe Aaron just felt Ross and Adam needed to fight it out. Funny how you fail to mention Aaron trying to knock some sense into coma man stalker Finn

6. But nobody told Diane what happened to Vic. If she had known she'd have been at the hospital.

7. Naw, Diane was right to protest and I loved her throwing a brick through the window at Home Farm

8. How can you feel sorry for this man who constantly covers up his psycho daughter and psycho grandson's crimes?

9. I think thuggish is the wrong word, creepy is more appropriate.

13. I thought she was funny. I LMAO at her twerking to Rhianna's song Work and that guy was all about it. I though Jai was going to catch Kerry and that guy smashing in the locker room

The GOAT for me is Carl King, although Ross is well on his way to stealing his crown.

9. Thuggiwas apt for yesterday as he indicated he wanted to go and beat up an elderly woman, someone should remind him a little over 12 months ago he pissed his pants in fear from David Metcalfe so acting like a hard man wil never work ever again, there is no return from wetting yourself in fear from David.
