So you have no problem with Chrissie framing Andy?

No, Andy is due a break from the show, and he will be back one day.

she co-owns a a B&B, she has somewhere to stay, Vic would put her up as would Robert

its a good storyline providing he is fully exonerated at the time Kelvin returns to the show as we all assume he will eventually.

I'd like to see Amy return eventually as well, preferably to dance on Joanie's grave

He didn't have to be framed for a shooting to leave the show.

Exactly, characters cant stick around indefinitely just because they're "hot".

No, but its what happened. Would you rather he got killed off, or had a boring departure?

also Andy wouldn't just up and leave without a major reason too, he had no idea where Debbie was so could hardly just move to be with the kids

A boring one, I like Jason's exit on Corrie, I actually thought that was one of the best exits this year. It was just a family saying good by to a loved on who is moving away it was simple but effective.

No I really don't.

Andy was okay to sit by and let Aaron rot in jail for what he did. He's also done worse things than that.
I don't buy the new Robert and Andy relationship and I'm not sad that he's gone.

I completely agree, he's not a big loss at all. A break from the show will do the character good.

Andy was suffering over the death of his wife and not in his right mind at the time.

He might have, they could have said he wanted to get away from the village because there were too many memories of Katie or he could have gone off to find Debbie and the kids.

Then what about when Debbie returns with the kids? Maybe Kelvin wants more than a year away from the show.

Poor old Annie lol

Sheila Mercier, who plays Annie, is still going at a ripe old age

I don't think Dan is the slightest bit dull. To me he's a nice, normal, funny, caring man. With all the drama in my life I'd love that sort of normality!

I'm with the Whites as well, mainly because I can't stand Diane!

Rodney was born in 1949 so is in his 60s. I find him attractive and I'm in my 50s.

What? That's stretching credibility more than a bit. Patrick Mower is 78 in real life.

I'm talking about Rodney the character, not Patrick the actor, and Rodney the character was born in 1949. Google him if you don't believe me (that's how I found out when he was born).

I notice it also says he married Diane in 1966, so he was only 17. She was 19. Seems somewhat unlikely - she wasn't even pregnant with Bernice at the time.

Yes, I knew what you meant. I wasn't doubting your word at all. I meant Emmerdale are stretching credibility by expecting us to believe that Rodney, as played by 78-year-old Patrick Mower, is in his mid-sixties.

Robert may well cheat (or at least be tempted to) at some point in the future (because this is a soap and affairs seem to be their very reason for being) but I really can't see it happening in the next 6 months or so, and certainly not before the New Year. And i do actually wonder if, when there is a (near-)cheating storyline with Aaron and Robert they'll flip all our expectations and have it be Aaron who (almost) does it.

I don't think this is the way they're going with this (and I really, really hope it isn't). Although I suppose if they do have fertility issues then maybe Vic might get desperate but desperate enough to go to Ross? I'm really not sure she would be. Could maybe imagine her thinking of asking Finn to be a sperm donor though - he's one of her best friends, Adam's half-brother (so baby would share some of Adam's DNA) and intelligent, sensitive and kind. Don't know what Adam would think though.
I do hope that if there is a fertility problem they are actually realistic about it and don't have them squashing everything down time wise (like they did with Paddy and Rhona's adoption), so they're already panicking by Christmas when nothing happens. Would be good to see an accurate representation of it and it would certainly give Isabelle and Adam something good to work with.

Usually when a couple on soap starts talking about trying for a baby, I assume it's going to lead do either a infertility or a miscarriage storyline, because planned babies do not exist in the world of TV, and I think your idea would be a much better story then another affair storyline, and giving Finn something to do is fine by me.

But after the Victoria/Ross scenes on Friday and with Adam Thomas taking a break to go into the jungle, I think Al is right. Although I won't complain if we're completely wrong
