I have show friends of mine some of Danny's best work and even they said he was really good, but you have him in the top 4 so that is good enough for me.

I don't see how you can hate Aaron but like Ross and Cain. Aaron is like a younger Cain and Ross is straight Aaron.

Aaron is a crybaby. Cain and Ross aren't.

Well I can't lie he does cry a lot, it seemed like once TPTB realized Danny was good at it Aaron never stopped crying. I would like for them to show other sides to Aaron so Danny could show is talent in different ways.

Personality wise, Aaron and Ross are worlds apart.

If Aaron was a bore he wouldn't get such extreme opinions of love and hate

Natalie can be good but she over does it at times with the screaming and shouting.

We really do need a purpose-designed vomit emoji. It'd come in so handy.

Trying saying that to some of the Eastenders fans who say how boring it is!! Some of their posts are pretty extreme!

For me it' s Jeff Hordley, John Middleton ( both equal top)and John McArdle, and of the women Natalie J Robb, Gillian Kearney and Charlotte Bellamy - all equally good.

I don't know if it ' s the character but Danny/ Aaron is just so awkward in his scenes with Robert. He is good but I wouldn't t rate him in the top 3!

For me top three, its

Michael Parr- superb actor;ED struck gold when they cast him as Ross- very hot guy too

John Middleton- outstandingly good over the years; shows other soaps how it should be done.

Jeff Hordley- very rugged but acting comes through

my Actress top three are :

Natalie J Robb- great actress; been excellent in everything shes been in over the years

Fiona Wade- although her character is irritating she plays her well

Samantha Giles- always know where you are with her: she plays flaky to a tee!

Good choices! I'd have Mike Parr up there as well, but I think you don't like Ross, so I wouldn't expect you to feel the same.

Yes, absolutely love Samantha Giles. Fiona Wade is very underused - her breakup scenes with Rakesh were really good. And I love Roxy Shahidi as well, she's so funny.

Think at a push, I'd say top 3 women for me - Emma Kearney, Natalie J Robb, Samantha Giles, with Charlotte Bellamy a close 4th (she's great, I just don't massively like Laurel).

Top 3 fellas, same as ianradioian, John Middleton, Jeff Hordley and Mike Parr, with John McArdle close 4th, just because he's not been a major character.

Throw in an honourable mention for Tom Atkinson as well, he's been brilliant as Lachlan.

Analysis of the last few episodes

1)There was a pirate war on a pirate ship to cheer up Arthur
He wasn't much cheered when his father had a another stroke and fell over
You see Ashley had some fun and mean show Emmerdale couldn't allow that, please show before he finally dies allow him some fun without making him worse.

1) Poor Arthur was left with the moron at his most moronic which even poor Laurel noticed

3) Elsewhere Hooded Frank was persecuted by Herne the hunters minion Leyla who messed about with his orders

4) This caused a rupture in the storyline no one cares about Tracy David and Leyla, and Tracy messed with Leyla and Pete wich cause a hoo hah no one cares about and go after much huffing and fuffing got Leyla evicted which is the opposite of her plans

5) Moira cried and felt sorry for herself on every shoulder she could find

6) Rebeeca and Robert had a deal which I bet no one but them can understand

7) Aaron for totally confusing reason robbed home farm and gave Rebecca a fright.

8) Rebecca a of course followed him back to the vale of tears by following the trail of tears he was leaving like a snail.

9) Aaron of course poured out his entire sob story and oceans of tears to make even Rebecca feel sorry for him

10) This made Aaron want to buy Mill cottage for Liv - surely doing it up which bankrupted Rakesh will take ages.

11) Elsewhere people kept hitting Paddy for entirely his own good.

12) Paddy is lumbered with Steve the cockatoo's owner

Ways how to get rid of Frank part 254

Herne the Hunterr the god of Sherwood forest was angry the Hoooded Frank had deserted him and sent Jason Connery to kill the Hooded Frank, Sadly for Herne the Hunter Tracy bored Jason to death, and then went onto bore Kerry, Finn and Aaron to death as well, and the Hodded Frank went and hid in Nottingham castle to escape Herne the Hunter and his own dreaded boring daughter.

I think Michael Parr is a good actor but I do think these others that I mentioned are better. I really intensely find the character irritating so maybe that's prejudicing me but I don't t think he's s as subtle and natural as the others listed but then he' s younger and less experienced. John McArdle hasn't had a testing storyline but you can tell he has years of experience - he' s just so natural and believable. It doesn't t feel like he's s trying. I would definitely rate Michael Parr as one of the better cast members. I agree re Tom Atkinson as well, he' s very good indeed. In fact tbh I find it quite hard to rank the good actors in ED because there's quite a few of them and it very much depends on the material they' re working with. John is working with a fantastic story, so he's s shining just now

4) I care about this storyline because I can't stand Leyla, it was great to see her knocked off her perch.

While the forum was down it was announced that Gemma Atkinson will become the permanent co-presenter of the breakfast show on Manchester's Key 103 radio station. http://radiotoday.co.uk/2016/12/key-...for-breakfast/

Gemma has said she isn't quitting Emmerdale, but the early starts in Manchester mean she won't be around for any filming in the morning, and night shoots will also be a problem. Hard to see how she can juggle both jobs long term.

The Hooded Frank. That's a good one.

It's been absolutely fab having John McArdle back on my screen - how has he been so underused all these years? I think he's done a fantastic job with a fairly underwritten part - until recently, anyway.

I agree about ranking though - ED really doesn't have "stars" - it's an ensemble, and it works really well like that. Which is why I think sometimes it feels so irritating when they shove someone to the front and centre when there are others who are just as good who don't get the material.

Well, congrats to her. Sounds like we might see even less of Carly though. Maybe even she realised the storyline with Marlon was pants. Shame, because she was one of my favourite arrivals the last couple of years, but they haven't made very good use of her.

I think the reason she and Mike Parr have been on screen so little this year is that they have both done a British film due to be released next year.

Yes I saw that and thought the same. Five mornings a week live on the radio in Manc and then shooting over to Leeds for ED filming every afternoon? It's not really sustainable long term I wouldn't have thought.
