He would definitely take my mind off most things.

Yeah, why have they turned Finn into a needy creeper? He never was before.

Probably.

Must admit, I lasted about 6.5 minutes last night. I am rapidly losing patience with Emmerdale, it doesn't even mildly distract me any more. Plus the sight of Tracy's endlessly annoying big face just made me want to smash things.

TOTP was a much better option.
I stuck it out to see Ross make moves on Rebecca but she was instead grounded by Lawrence...

I'm curious, who do you guys consider to be the A characters and the B characters?
I don't categorise them, to me they're just characters.

Then TOTP was definitely the right choice.

Analysis of Emmerdale Characters

I watched live last and am easily distracted so I missed bits and got confused

So questions and Answers about last night episode

1) Why was Kerry setting fire to the caravan? I know Charity was winding her up but a bit extreme wasn't it> and

1) How does she know Kyle isn't in there since the silly cow last saw him going off with Cain
2) Zak isn't in there

2) Reasons for Paddy being hit by Chas, i'm sure there was one

3) Why didn't Emma push Kasim of that bridge like I was begging her to? of course his hair would just cause him to bounce harmlessly

4) Just why is Finn so needy and desperate

5) And is Kasim finally leaving

6) Why is the no food in the dingle kitchen

7) Why is Joannie still in Custody

8) Why is Lachlan trail come round so quick

9) The law moves very quick and glacially slow in Emmerdale

10) Why Cant Rebecca handle her drink

11) ANd why are Weekends and bank holidays no existent in Emmerdale.

Answers below (where I can think of them):

1 - Revenge - and I think she looked in the window to see if anyone was there (but actually because the ptb have wrecked her character so completely that she doesn't need a reason to do anything)

2 - Pointing out Gerbil or Hamster which had escaped and was behind him

3 - I thought she was going to shove him off the bridge too and at the bouncy hair

4 - To give Kasim something to do

5 - Hope so

6 - Because Lisa's eaten it all - but everybody else's kitchens are full of food just after Christmas (well mine is anyway) so it was strange, but they needed an excuse for them to bog off to the pub - although how Lisa wouldn't have had some spuds knocking around for Kerry to make chips is anyone's guess - even when somebody's got no food in they usually have potatoes somewhere

7 - Because the actress wants time off and this was the least unlikely plot they could come up with?

8 - Because the actor needs/needed time off for exams perhaps and it needs to fit with those?

9 - It's either Feast or Famine

10 - Nobody in soaps can - you would have thought they would be used to it load of old soaks that they all are

11 - One of the great unanswered questions of life that is

1. She has ran out of guys to let smash so she has gone to the only other thing she knows how to do...cause chaos. Kyle was a non factor

2. The writers think that crap is funny. I actually like Paddy and Chas but why does it have to be played for comedic purposes? In fact ever since MacLeod took over Paddy has had ZERO serious scenes, its all comedy crap.

3. Because she has learned that pushing people off bridges solves nothing. She's more likely to kidnap Kasim and force him to be Finn's BF.

4. Because he got it from his mama

5. Let's hope so

7. Don't question it, be happy we are getting a break from her.

2) Comedy is all the actor is good for, all that stuff with Tess was laughable

7) Let hope she's away for at least the 6 weeks the actress is doing panto for in real life

2. Umm Paddy is good for other stuff, do I need to remind you how great he was during Aaron's coming out story?

7. 6 weeks isn't long enough, she needs to be gone permanently.

Dunno, storyline-related personality transplant I guess.

Have come to the conclusion the story editors just hate him. And me.

You like Paddy because he's good to your boy Aaron, that's it.

I like Paddy because of his relationship with Aaron, they have a really strong father/son bond that was explored really well during Aaron's coming out story and it was even kept when Aaron first returned but it has almost entirely been dropped to prop up Robron.

Paddys relationship with Aaron is the only thing hes got going for him. Im heartily sick of the unfunny offensive slapping scenes in ED.

I agree with you 100% on that, the comedy stuff just isn't funny and embarrassing at times. The kind of crap they're doing wouldn't work on an 80's sticom

I feel like I'm watching Last Of the Summer Wine, which was an odd 70s sitcom that ran in the UK.

I could easily imagine the scenario in that clip playing out with Zac, Dan, and Doug as the characters. Seems to be the direction ED are going in.

Sadly I could see that happening on Emmerdale these days. Their idea of humor is really out of whack with the 21st century.

It does feel really backward looking at the moment, it's weird. Like they think the audience can't cope with anything that's not a broad clanging cliche.

There's nothing quirky or unusual or interesting going on on the show that I can think of. It's like a Carry On movie, but a lot less funny.

Was looking at Inside Soap yesterday and they had a piece about various anniversaries over the next year, including Arthur's 10th birthday in August.

They also though included the twins (Heath and Cathy) who will also be 10 in February - where have then been all this time - Arthur has been included and is recognisable when he appears but what's happened to the incredible disappearing twins?

Will they, does anyone think, be cast properly and start to appear more now they are older?

No - I'm just amazed that she didn't make it onto the Kwynnie Awards as Emmerdale's worst character.
