I too, believe that to be the case. I don't think Lawrence has ever been able to have sex since prison, also leading to the liklihood of him not being Chrissie's biological father as much as I wish him to be so.

The open marriage still leaves a lot of misinformation though, it's a decent ongoing mystery actually, likely we shall not have a clear picture until the very end of this story.

I'm looking forward to finally finding out about Lawrence's past, could be really good.”

I'm still thinking he is her father somehow, it sounded the same to me too. Him being frustrated at answering the same question with the same answer, Chrissie not believing him. Not to mention she'd already told him he was like Robert, what would she think of him if she found out he had an emotional affair with a man whilst married to her mother.

Lawrence's past is the one big story that is keeping me hooked to Emmerdale at the moment. Let's hope the reveal is not a let down.

A heartwarming one where Chrissie accepts that he is her real father for good this time would be preferable.

Mini synopsis of the ep

Joanie has a lot to answer for.
Firstly she thinks she is a beautiful Goddess/siren who could have any man she wants while actually she is one of the ugly witches from Macbeth
She made Zak Jealous so punched Rishi
Then Zak went to Lisa's for some reason to tell her something other than they were getting married but told her that anyway.
Then Lisa wailed and moaned about men so much that she put Belle so off men and Love so muchthat she went and shagged Dr Bailey in his office
Curse you Joanie you hag and again for making Zak propose in the Woolpack in front of Lisa which is downright cruel.
Megan went to the Weight room and arranged for her foal to be registered soory Christened and that Sam was the baby's Trainer, sorry godfather.
She hadn't bothered to tell Jai who wanted Priya as head stable girl sorry Godmother.
Jai got banned from the woolpack for about an hour for stopping the fight betweenRishi and Zak.
Gabby told Eric about David's cancer no doubt thinking prize prat David already had.
And there was stupid stuff about Laurel and Gabby and moaning about all the drinking.
Chrissie is looking for her supposed father.
Other stuff happened but its all go in Emmerdale

Am I right in thinking Dr Bailey was the one who was supposed to be interested in Emma Barton - think they even went for a drink in the woolpack.

Funny there was no mention of a wife at that time

Yes, same Dr Bailey. There wouldn't have been any mention of a wife this time either if Belle hadn't overheard him.

It's a cracking story, really intriguing, and with lots of potential complications and heartbreak for lots of people. Yes, I'd like a good ending for it, because neither he nor Chrissie has clearly ever really accepted his past - his marriage papered over all the cracks, and now it's all unravelling. This story and Ashley's (and Carly's if she ever comes back) are the ones I still watch for.

No, but surely Emma would have know he was married? She worked with him. So either he's got recently married (unlikely), or it's a proper old retcon. I was thinking exactly the same as sheepiefarm when I was watching.

But Emma works at the same surgery as he does - and given he waltzed out of his surgery and openly told the recepetionist to tell him if his wife called - then its clearly no secret amongst those who work there that he's married.

Oh yes, I see what you and cyril mean now. Another retcon then.

It's the same for me too, sadly. I used to watch Emmerdale for so many reasons. It's sad to see it dwindled down to this.

Oops. Kate Oates appears to excel at those.

Chin up, it's not that bad yet. Well, it is bad, but they still have a decent cast of characters and three decent stories. Let's face it, three decent stories is three more than we had between May and November last year.

Let's be thankful for small mercies - I suspect we'll see precious little of anything other than court stuff this week unfortunately.....

Which I good for me since I hate Court scenes of any kind and court scenes with crybaby are always unbearable, which of course means i'll FF them and the episodes will be short.

Just no one expect any detailed analysis this week, im not a court reporter.

MrAlley has decided it's time to swap some furniture around in the bedrooms, so that's what we'll be doing - and we'll probably miss ED because dinner will then be later and so on. That's tonight out of the way.

Tomorrow maybe I'll do my supermarket shop

Thursday I'll have my ingrowing toenail sorted

Friday I'll see if I can find a boil on my bum that I can have lanced.

Which will nicely get me out of seeing ED all week....

What plans has anyone else got?

Analysis Central's Do's and Don't's about last night episode.

1) Don't have sex in the surgery .

2) Especially don't do on top of important test results and mix them all up

3) Do knock on Doors.

4) Do wait until the Doctor tells you can come in, don't just barge in its rude.

The standard waiting time is always 20 minutes after the appointment time whether or not the Doctor's is full of not.

5) Do sue Doctor bailey and get him struck off

6) Do not under any circumstances celebrate loudly when having a clear health because if you don't instantly die of a heart attack there will have been a terrible misdiagnosis and you won't be celebrating loudly much longer

7) Don't let Sam Dingle give a speech at a christening.

8) Do involve the father at the Christening even if the father is Jai

9) Don't shout at you biggest supporters if you about to go to trial.

10 Don't be utterly miserable in general.
Then again i've been telling Shitbaby that for 1000 episodes in a row.

11) Do try to cheer the eff up the trial might not be the utter disaster you are expecting and appear to be hiop for.

12) Do off to go to concerts with your Girlfriends son even if you can barely walk and are in pai.

13) Don't get insanely jealous over you brother and ex wife

14) Don't ever wear what Rishi was wearing this episode

15)Don't bother taliking to Lisa bu then i've said that for 1000 episodes as well.

Analysis will be very patchy this week a trials are not my thing

Analysis of Emmerdale Characters.

Bear in mind since I didn't watch the court scenes I got most of my info about the court from Big Gob Chas even though she wasn't in court either.

1) Big Gob - dear big gob the whole reason you weren't in court in the first place is because you are a witness ( more like witless) and shouldn't know what's going on in court let alone going to shout at Gordon about it who will no doubt use it against you in court in due course.

2) Did Gordon just admit to Perjury when saying he gave Aaron an alibi?

3) Crybaby - looked like he was doing a lot of crying while I Fast Forwarded his scenes) but I could care less.

4)David got advice from Zak and showed a brave face

5) Zak - Fulfilled a purpose for the first time in ages.

6) Megan very bossy at Christening and then bolted from the stable when things went wrong.

7) Leyla not at her best after David's news.

And the Christening scenes were quite funny in this enforced short ep for me.

My mastery of Scott Joplin's Bethena Waltz is coming on nicely.

I would have watched the news, but everyone on there last night was a tosspot as well.

Aww, you're going to miss out on the MAJOR twist! However will you cope?

I'll be watching for the giggles. Plus I want to watch the David stuff which is way better.

1. You know it would be very hard for any mother to not kill the man who abused her child. I think Chas' reactions to the whole situation is very realistic.

2. You make a good point about that, Gordon could be in just as much trouble as Aaron.

3. Cut Aaron a break it was a hard day for him

5. That was really a great scene

6. Megan needs to die, side note I was watching some old Corrie episodes on youtube and saw Megan, I found it hilarious that her character was acting and dressed like Kerry.

Realistic maybe, sensible definitely not since the very first question asked in court of Chas by Mr Defence Lawyer will be why did you approach and try to interfere with the defendant yesterday Ms Dingle.

It wasn't the smartest thing, but in a situation like that its probably hard to control your emotions.

The fact that she hasn't strangled Gordon with her bare hands show she has restraint to me.
