The trial continues to bore and Kwynne has complained to OFCOM about Emmerdale falsely claiming there were upsetting scenes in the epiosde
1) Liv - Kwynne actually watched her give evidence the only evidence I've scene from this stupid case, great little actress she is, Liv didn't really want to upset anyone until crybaby blundered in and refused to let her stay,.
2( Crybaby - never knowingly do the right thing, would it have put him out much by promising to let her stay when not really meaning it.
3) Robert - A shell of a character these days.
4) David named his bits and now sad to lose him, trying to do the patented soap thing of pushing all his friends and relatives away when he should be relyi ng on them, why do soap character do that, its annoying and makes bad drama.
5) eric might not cope if David dies.
Sidebar - not exactly encouraging for people with this disease is it, likely to scare them unnecessarily.
6) Megan and her baby's christening part 2 - so bored by this point I Fast forwarded through that as well

Excellent post. The end of last night’s second episode said it all. I can imagine TPTW saying: “Let’s have Aaron and Robert snogging at the end of the episode that the trial finishes in. Then all the Robron fans will be in raptures and we’ll get loads of awards’.
Except that Danny Miller said he was told about the child rape storyline when he was contracting his return, way before any Robron happened and way before there was a Robert to redeem. So no, the incestual rape storyline wasn't concocted to reunite Robron, although the writers obviously chose to kill two birds with one stone.

Which return? In January this year he told DS Kate Oates first mentioned it to him.
"It started off from a conversation between myself and [Emmerdale's former producer] Kate Oates, which was a while ago now. Aaron had come out as gay all those years ago, but he was still very troubled and I think we needed something more to explain why he has so many problems."
To be honest, if they wanted to run big Suffering Diva story for Aaron - and obviously they would, that's all he does - they should have just done it. Turning it into Robron fanfiction has just torpedoed the whole thing as any kind of serious storyline.
But anyway, it's over now, so hopefully we can just forget the whole ridiculous thing and move on.

It's irrelevant "when" the rape storyline was first being "talked" about.
What came to the screen was a storyline where a character's father was turned into an incestual child rapist, and THAT was used as a romantic backdrop with a character who tried to murder his mother.
Its pretty sick when you think about it.
Analysis of last nights episode
I find myself unable to put into word just how much I hated last nights episode.
What a revolting travesty the entire storyline has been, just a giant excuse to get the two worst characters on TV back together, how utterly crass the whole thing is.
Abuse of Children is supposed to be a serious subject shame on Emmerdale to use that to get 2 second rate and thats generous character to this point.
SHAME is letter 2000 metres tall

Now Kate Oates can finish of whats left of Corrie after The Evil Demon hat reign
Shame Emmerdale Shame.
And comedy Vet and Pearl stryk=lines are not going to blind me to the shame.
Nor Rhona's endlessly boring jealousy storyline.
And they should be used to terrible complaints what with Vanessa or Paddy neglecting and killing animals every other week
