For those of you in doubt, Kristina has confirmed that she's leaving strictly ...The Sun quotes an Hello interview done just before she entered the CBB house

I thought she was leaving even before the pregnancy news

Edited to add a Daily Mail article with more detail

Ola, Aliona, Kristina.

If it follows trend and there's an extra male celebrity next year; Janette, Karen, Natalie Oti + 3 new females should be interesting!

The most interesting thing about that article is what she says about the creativity being taken out of her hands on Strictly, which sort of confirms the rumours about the increasing level of producer interference. I expect a few of the 'older' pros are fed up of that.

Also, if Kristina hates the press and public interest in her personal life so much, someone should tell her she doesn't have to keep doing interviews with Hello mag about it.

Indeed. It's more than a little hypocritical in my view.

Anyone in the public eye can be reported as saying "they hate the press."

You can't blame Kristina for accepting money from Hello for an interview. She'd have got nothing from the two-page character assassination in the Mail last week.

After CBB, where's the money coming from, to support a new baby, an out of work boyfriend and his ex-wife and two kids?

With Hello she's being paid for her story so she has some editorial control.

I wasn't going just by reports in the press, it was in the interview she did on Loose Women where she complained about press interest in her life. Its up to her if she takes money for these interviews, she should just stop complaining about the interest it generates in her life as it makes her look a bit daft.

She will undoubtedly return to her real job - ie teaching and coaching dance. It's what ex-competitive dancers do.

She is now leaving celebrity big brother as well

I suppose the only way to get your own view across is to co-operate with certain parts of the media, the rest will continue to put their own spin on it.

That's a shame, I've always liked Kristina.

Wish her and Ben well with the impending arrival

I don't think she's ever said she hates the press and media attention in general just when they twist things and make up stories.

Can't find any news on Christina leaving BB on any other news source? Are you sure about this?

Would Strictly have had her back after CBB ? genuine question, not being sarcastic.

I was inclined to think not, but have heard others saying they thought Striclty would have her back ( this was before the baby news of course )

Ola was taken back after joining the Jump so I dont see why it would be any different for Kristina

Very true and that was far more dodgy, so to speak, with going off to do the promo before Strictly had finished - so yes, guess they would have had Kristina back.

The Jump isn't as tacky as CBB though - it's another show about learning a skill, just like Strictly. All the contestants are supportive of each other. CBB is just gutter level naval grazing and deliberately appeals to the most base instincts of human nature by creating tension.

as well as feeding off hoped-for gutter-level gossip, on-screen nudity and "did they have sex?" titillation stories.

i liked her but I'm not surprised shes gone. will miss her next year. if these were not the people the producers wanted out in their supposed shake up will they still do it meaning 5 people go at once or will they have to wait for next year to do it?

I'm guessing the producers are not losing sleep over Ola and Kristina going.

Although I don't think Kristina intends to return to Strictly, I can't see any reason why the BBC would not have her back just because of CBB.

Like all the pros on Strictly, Kristina isn't employed by the BBC except for the duration of any one contract, which is in the region of 6 months. What she - or any of the others - do with the rest of the year is entirely down to them.
