I was saddened & shocked to hear of David's passing today. Had no idea he was ill.

Regarding Angie. I read that she's not been in contact with David for about 35 years, so may decide to stay in the house. Then again, even though she's estranged from their son, she may want to leave the house & send him a message at this sad time.

RIP David!! My favourite David Bowie song:

I didn't like all that much of his stuff, tbh, but I like that one. Life on Mars was the first single I ever bought, back in the 70s.

Sad to hear the news. Don't even know he was ill. Await to see how the news is broken and if she leaves.

Totally shocked by this news.
Thanks for some of the best music from my childhood and the most hilarious video from Dancing On The Street with Jagger.

RIP David

I never really understood his 70's music. I liked his music more in the 80's.
What name??

She hasn't seen him for several decades and is estranged from her son. Why should she leave? She has no connection with him apart from living off his name for 40 years

Yeah, I think he attracted a lot of new fans in the 80s with the Let's Dance album, which was co-produced by Nile Rogers.

I mean, why wouldn't she use the name to help her with her various causes? As long as she uses it to achieve good things, I can't see a problem with it. She isn't taking anything away from anybody else.

Don't think record sales equate anyway to musical relevance or status. Think Westlife had as many consecutive No1's as the Beatles, 1D have had more than the stones, hardly makes them on a par.

MJ showed how to sell records, DB showed how to change the landscape of music forever.

If you read some of the back story about her relationship with Bowie and Duncan I think it'll become apparent that she wont be rushing to his side. She doesn't come across as a particularly doting wife and mother.

I agree, he did some of his best music when he was with "Angie"
RIP David Bowie I loved him and his music.

She hasn't spoken to her son in years, she may use this as an opportunity to reconcile. Then again she has already spoken of her desire to leave the house, this may be opportunity for her to get herself out of a bad situation. She may even be able to talk them into giving her the fee considering the circumstances.

All she's done is slag him off since she's been there. If you're divorced and divorced so acrimoniously why keep the husband's name that you so clearly despise? The only reason is to keep the fame lifestyle going

Ah right, I haven't really been watching much. In that case... I see your point.

Same here.
Him and Iman are very private people, hence why we never knew i guess.
Although Angie has been divorced from him for decades, i'm sure she'll still be devastated.
Very sad.

MJ has had far more musical influence than DB. That's why people still copy his musical and dance style. Comparing the two is bizarre. Bowie does t even make the list for popularity. For originality yes but not for influence or popularity.

Not really. Wasn't a fan. Just liked maybe at the most 2 songs.
Didn't mind that cover version with Mick Jagger Dancing In The Street.

I think once she hears the news she will see £££ and want to leave. BB would still pay her under the circumstances. She will then give interviews to every news programme, newspaper going, release a book and just milk his name even more than she already has.
