Sad news RIP starman. I wonder if David knew him and if he did how he will take it, I think Angie will leave the house, probably already gone

I guess it's bound to be the talking point of the house today because the rest of the housemates will get to know as well if she tells them. Which will be incredibly surreal for them given that they are in the BB house.

What dreadfully sad news to wake up to. He was one of ther greats.
I am sure Angie will bhe deeply saddenned. There was no love lost between them from what I can gather, but they were married for 10 years, ( divorced for 35) but still I am sure some heart strings will be pulled. I had no idea he was so ill. |

I think they will tell her even though there is no love lost between them.
But she won't leave. She will remain and try to win an Oscar. RIP Major Tom. |

Absolutely gutted to hear that David Bowie has died. I adored him when I was a troubled teen and was lucky enough to see him in concert once.
Angie's only reason for being known is as his ex wife. If she stays in the house she will have to be very careful not to badmouth him, and likewise if she comes across as the grieving widow she will seem hypocritical as they didn't get on. I would imagine she will leave to offer her children support though. I can't see why she would stay if she needs to see her sons, and I'm sure BB would still pay her anyway. |

The world is a much duller place today. The word 'genius' is greatly overused these days, but it rightly describes David Bowie. RIP David.

Also don't forget they did have two children together. I'm sure she would want to be with her daughter at this time, even if she is estranged from her son.

I find it so weird that he has died at this time.
Not in any stupid conspiracy theory type of way - more in a cosmic - universe type of way. I know it's just a co incidence but it's spooky to me. No one hears anything anout Angie for donkey's years and then as soon as she goes on TV, the man she is famous because of dies. It freaks me out a little bit Yeah I know - I'm loopy |

Absolutely gutted and shocked. I didn't know he was battling cancer. RIP David.
![]() I agree with others that BB will need to tell Angie so she can support their children. |

seeing the thin white duke described as Angie's ex, David Bowie in the thread title almost makes me cringe tbh because he was so so much more than that.

Exactly that just because they are divorced doesn't mean she won't care

I'm not sure she would leave. What purpose would it serve? She hasn't seen her son since he was 14, so not sure he would care now.
RIP to a legend though. |

They have one child together, their son Duncan Jones who, as you say, she is estranged from. Her daughter, Stacia, is from her relationship with Drew Blood.
I would love to ask if you were kidding but I am sure you are not. ![]() ![]() I don't know. She hasn't exactly "bad mouthed" David, just painted a picture of him being a prat of a husband. She would not have thought him all bad to sacrifice her son to him because he adored him so much. Strange choice I agree, but I sense she thinks she made the right decision & as a mother, still loves her son although she is resigned to it not being reciprocated ( That would kill me) Also the way Angie talks it is almost as if she has lost a favourite employer, ( not a husband) when she talks of the saddest thing about her divorce was being out of a job. |

I wonder if Big Brother will make a thing out of this or it'll be a case of she's called to the Diary Room and met by a member of production who will then inform her off camera. She then decides whether she wants to leave or not. If she leaves the housemates are then simply informed Angie has left the House with no reason.
It depends how much they want to make of it. |

No, it doesn't and I would imagine she would want to be there for their son although it seems she didn't bring him up.

Listening back to some of his music and surprised to how many songs I recognise - 'Heroes,' 'Life on Mars?' Just shows how much of an impact he had and how many people he reached out to regardless of age.

Wow.
I'm in shock. I had Bowie down as relatively young and healthy. Rest in Peace.I think she will leave and I think she should leave. Not so much because of their relationship; which was clearly fractious - more because she's there, really, AS his ex. I think it would be better if she left. On the whole bad-mouthing thing, I don't think she has, to be fair. I think she's full and frank about the state of their relationship - and her own state - when they parted. |

Estranged or not, her only claim to any sort of fame is the Bowie connection, so she should do the decent thing and pull out, out of respect.
