I think you could be slightly underestimating the youth of today, my daughter is 16 and has just discovered his work, before Christmas I has to dig out all my old Bowie LPs.
RIP David, you were a true starman. |

Cannot believe my all time hero David Bowie has died. I thought you were invincible Ziggy. My heart is broken. Rip Starman
Angie is damned if she stays in damned if she doesn't and I don't think she can win either way whatever she decides to do. I had just been reading about David forcing her into an open marriage. It's hardly what you would wish for when you have married someone you love and produced a child from your marriage. David was my hero and will always be but I did not like the way he treated Angie and for putting her in the situation of giving up son Duncan. |

I haven't seen my ex in years, thankfully. I would be sad for five minutes if he passed, but that would be it.
Because having said that there are some people from the past whose death would be more of a jolt and others less so... |

I'm not underestimating todays youth (i think), there will always be the odd kid who listens back through the classics. I just don't think his profile has been too high in the last few years. The last I remember of him was a drum & bass album from the late 90's.

Not in any stupid conspiracy theory type of way - more in a cosmic - universe type of way. I know it's just a co incidence but it's spooky to me. No one hears anything anout Angie for donkey's years and then as soon as she goes on TV, the man she is famous because of dies. It freaks me out a little bit Yeah I know - I'm loopy Call it coincidence but it is kinda spooky. I got chills thinking about it. |

If she does leave the house I doubt we'll hear about it for a while. As soon as its announced she's out she'll be thrown into a media whirlwind, so BB will probably give her time to compose herself/contact who she needs to. She might even be out already

I'm sure Gemma will milk the situation about being "devastated" to grab a little more airtime.......

Grew up hearing David Bowie in the sixties and he's just made a new album. Phenomenal collection of work. Sad news but I don't think him and Angie had spoken in many years so who knows if she will leave or not. I don't know what else she has done. To me she has just been famous for being his ex wife.and she didn't seem to have much good to say about him
Like others have stated its going to be controversial either way, I just hope she doesn't go down the money route.

Absolutely gutted to hear of David Bowies death.
A true Musical Legend. The world is a poorer place for his passing. RIP Ziggy Stardust xx |

I think you may be slightly overestimating Davids reach. I can't see the TOWIE/Geordie Shore generation being too cut up about his passing.
My children grew up listening to him as I played him all the time. He is one of those rare timeless artists. |

No I agree with you, I was saying something similar about his return to music like he needed to get his last album out there.

Have been mulling it over. I have never seen Angie Bowie (she still uses the surname ?) on tv before. She chooses this year to come on UK tv ? Why exactly ? Hmm.
Only his inner circle knew about it, this is why it is such a shock to the whole world |

Shocking and sad news. I wonder if she knew he was ill, or how ill he was.
I hope it is handled with sensitivity by channel 5, but knowing them I wouldn't bet on it. |

I doubt very much Angie even knew David had cancer.

I don't know how her relationship with their son Duncan is, but surely he would want her support at this time?

Yes, perhaps out of respect for her son - but he has none for her. He is 43 years old and completely estranged from his mother. They haven't seen each other, since he was 13 years old.
She left him with his father, when they split up and she hadn't seen David for 40 years. We don't know if Duncan Jones, her son, had any contact with her daughter, his half sister. I am sure she will leave, though - there is money to be made. |
