Sadly both the parents were both heavily involved in drugs, David Bowie was pretty clean by 1980, it appears that he won custody and Angle was cast aside with her demons.

Sad news that David Bowie has died but Angie said that she did her best to avoid him and their antipathy was mutual.
She is only known because she has continued to milk her connection with the rock icon for the past 40 years.
David Bowie rarely spoke of his first wife, but once said she had "as much insight into the human condition as a walnut and a self-interest that would make Narcissus green with envy".
Her dilemma could be whether to leave in order to milk her failed marriage in the outside world or to stay in the BB house to gain the inevitable sympathy vote which could increase her chances of winning.
Whatever she decides will be in her own self-interest if her late ex husbands comments hold true.

We shouldn't comment on the ins & outs of David & Angie's relationship unless we know the full facts, which I doubt we'll ever know.

David Bowie died yesterday and our prayers should go out to his love ones he left behind.

I don't think it's appropriate for her to stay, they had a child together, it's in bad taste for her to stay in there given her only claim to fame is her late husband. I would think it better for her to show respect for his family and leave in a dignified manner. But this is BB on C5 so...

I get that. But like I say, she has been hanging on that Bowie connection ever since.

Oh my what sad news, he was part of my growing up and some of hs music is just awesome and unforgettable. He was a very appealing man too....I rememeber being quite mesmerised by his quiet brooding sexiness and even just a few years ago having seen him appear somewhere on TV I recall thinking he still had it.

Rip David, as for Angie well she is a product of her time and her demons which must be many and I guess as Anthropologist says above she is on a loser no matter what she does.

She didn't leave him, he left her, she used to see him until he told her he hated her and didn't want to see her again, which she blames David for as she thinks he turned the son against her. She said she let David have custody as the boy didn't want to leave him, also she had no job etc. It's amazing how so many on here think they know all about their relationship and the aftermath of it, yet haven't even bothered to listen to what she's had to say about it while in the house.
