I love The Heart's Filthy Lesson. It's wonderfully titled, composed and sung.

Although I bought Ziggy when I was young Bowie disappeared from my life for a few decades..........it was seeing this on TV that got me revisiting him........

As unoriginal as it is for me 'Life On Mars' is a masterpiece. For a deep cut I really like 'Slip Away' from Heathen.

As for album 'Station to Station' for me - it may only have 6 tracks, but they are all brilliant.

Low/Ziggy album wise. Again, Life on Mars stands out for the sheer drama.

I prefer his earlier, funnier work. Hunky Dory is such a great album and The Bewlay Brothers is genuinely bonkers.

But Fill Your Heart is just lovely.

Just remember, lovers never lose

"Space Oddity" is my all-time favourite song, and obviously my favourite David Bowie song.
It's hard for me to pick a favourite album as I have them all and each one is different.

Loved most of his songs, but think my favourites have to be Modern Love, Under Pressure, Seven.

Single: Starman

Seeing Bowie on TOTP performing this in 1972 was a revelation to me. In many ways, he became to my generation what John Lennon was to the previous one; iconic, contradictory, complex and always, always interesting.

Album: The Rise and Fall of Ziggy Stardust

Still the album that affected me most and to which I have referred over the years. Moonage Daydream kind of predicted media stars using the Net with the line 'Keep your 'lectric eye on me.' And the concept, wow. An alien achieves rock stardom on Earth, 5 years before the planet will collapse. Nobody else in music had thoughts like that until Bowie came along.

David Bowie , Hunky Dory, Heroes, Station To Station.

Never cared for his 'Ziggy; period, or the glam period generally.

Toss-up between Diamond Dogs and Outside for me, although Blackstar's really blowing me away at the moment too.

Best single? Ziggy Stardust.

Life On Mars is the single for me,just love the solemn sound of the piano and the idea of looking in on this little piece of drama.

Blimey. Um...I think 'Aladdin Sane' is my favourite album, closely followed by 'Hunky Dory' and 'Diamond Dogs'.

As I loved it before really getting into David's stuff (I was about 10/11 at the time of it's release) would probably plump for 'Ashes to Ashes' as a single. It's brilliant and also takes me back to a time and a place as a kid where I first thought "Who is this? Kinda Know of him, but I've got shivers here..." (Doubt whether I *quite* put it like that as a kid, but know what I mean?)

It's actually only starting to sink in, tbh.
